AIC were an astonishing live act at that time. I saw them play at Glasgow's Barrowlands Ballroom on that tour (partially immortalised on their official "Live" album) and they were such a well-oiled machine at that point, absolutely perfect in every respect. I remember being particularly struck by how Jerry Cantrell didn't/doesn't get enough respect for his essential harmony vocals. How he can sing so perfectly whilst also peeling off those tricksy riffs & solos is a total mystery to me. For a band with such a dark tone they were surprisingly fun & goofy on stage, throwing themselves around & grinning from ear to ear for most of the time. Such a tragedy that 2 of the 4 members are now gone. R.I.P. Layne & Mike.
