Like I Need TV, When I Got T.Rex...

Here's One of Those "Instant Live" Recordings
of a Reunion Show of Mott The Hoople...

You Go to The Show...
It's Recorded, Mixed, and Ready
Soon After The Concert...

It's Now Out of Print!
And Here For You...
IF You Wanna Give It A Listen...
(I Filled In The Setlist...)
(Hope It's Correct!?!)

It Wasn't...

But Thanks to Derek
For The Correct Title Sequence
And, The New Back Cover!

Mott09-CD2

Stop! Hold On, Stay in Control...

Another Kinks Koncert from the 80's...

Live from St. Louis in 1988...

A Good FM Broadcast...

There Were Some Good Songs,
And, Some Not So Good Songs...

BUT, Hopefully It Brought Attention To A Band
That Had Been Around For a Long Time,

And, Just Maybe, Those Folks Took a Look Back
at Some 60's & 70's Kinks Music!

Yes, Your Vaudeville Carries On...

UFO Steve Sez:

The Strangers in the Night world tour continues

with Paul Chapman on guitar throughout 1979

 the only year

UFO never released an album of new material

between 1974 and 83

A good sounding show and Performance

with only Electric Phase

being added to the tour setlist

that wasn't on the Strangers album.

Roll With The Changes...

Another Excellent REO Speedwagon Concert!

They Were Tourin' an Album I Did Not Buy...
(I Had Already Drawn The Line By Then...)
Life As We Know It...

There's Only One Song from That Record Here...
(The First One Performed...)

The Rest Are REO As I Knew Them!

Great Westwood One Radio Broadcast Sound...

And The Awesome Guitar of One Mr. Gary Richrath!

He Would Leave the Band in 1989...
And, He Left This World in 2015...

But, He Left Us With Some Stellar Songs!

7/27/2021

Congratulations I'm Sorry...

Here's Some Good Summer Time Music for You Folks!

Gin Blossoms Tourin' Their 2nd Full Length CD,
Congratulations I'm Sorry!

It was Named That 'Cause
The Band were Sellin' Records,
Tourin',
Hearin' Their Songs on the Radio, Etc.

At The Same Time They Were Dealin' with
What Happened to Doug Hopkins...

As Charles Dickens Once Wrote:
It Was The Best Of Times,
It Was The Worst Of Times...

But, Those First 2 CDs Were Great Music...
And So Were Their Concerts...
As Evidenced Here...
(Or There - In Toronto in 1996!)

Gin Blossoms Would Disband After This Tour
But Re-Form in 2001...

But We Have This Great FM Recording From Back Then!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

7/26/2021

We Were Listenin' to Deep Purple On The Radio...

Another Hammersmith Show From Another British Band!

Saxon Bringin' The Heavy Metal Thunder!

I've Listed It As an Audience Recording...
Although It Sure Sounds Close to a FM Show!?!

So, I'm Sayin' It's an Awesome Audience Recording!

And, DAMN! What a Setlist!

I Remember Buyin' the First Few Saxon Records
as Imports Here in the States!

Dallas 1 PM Has the Pre-Recorded Middle from
The Kennedy Assassination News Reporting...
(At One Point, They Stopped Usin' It?)

And There's Hungry Years and Much More...

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

2 Hot 2 Handle...

UFO Steve Sez:

UFO 2 nights in Chicago:

UFO two consecutive nights at

The Old Vic Theatre Chicago

24th and 25th August 1995

As always

UFO live in Chicago

are in great form

just sit back and close your eyes

and it sounds like 1978.

August 24th

August 25th

Watchin' the Full Moon Crossin' the Range...

Here's REO Speedwagon Rollin' with The Changes...

'Cause Changin' They A Were...

This Show comes from the Time Period
Between Their 70's Rock & Roll and
Their 80's Radio-Friendlier Music...

Notice How Nice I Put That...
Makin' Up a New Word in the Process...
Hyphenated, at that...

Those Songs That Would Become BIG HITS
are a Bit More Heavy Here In Concert...

This Was the Summer Before THAT Album
Would Be Released and Beat To Death!

Gary Richrath Was Still In The Band At This Point...

And, He Wrote Some of Those Songs Like
In Your Letter, Take It On The Run, Etc.

NOTE: There's a Disc 2 With The 30th Ann. CD
That Is All Demos...I May Have to Try and Look Those Up?

With This Show You Get The Best of Both Worlds...

REO Go Back as far as Golden Country from 1970,
To The Not Yet Released Keep On Loving You!

And There's That Turkey Music I Never
Get Tired of Hearin'

7/23/2021

No One Had Money and The Girls Got So Uptight...

This Is April Wine - Live In London!

The Audio was taken from the DVD...

It was Originally a VHS Release Back When...
(I Remember Watchin' It a Long Time Ago!)

Also, It Had The Band Ridin' a Double Decker Bus
Through London, Checkin' out the Sights...

ALL That Has Been Removed...

And the ONLY Real Hard Cut
from one Song to the Next is One More Time...
(It Starts Out With The First Verse...)

I Made a New Back Cover,
'Cause Well...

Apparently, Whoever Made the Original,
Knew Nothin' 'Bout the Band
or the Names
of Some of Their Songs...
(See Bad Toys as an Example...)

Other Than All That...

It's a Great Soundin' April Wine Concert!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

In The Light...

Here's a Curious Little Item from Long Ago...

Honeymoon Suite, Again...

It's an old EP with
an Extended Mix of In The Light...

But, Most of You Will Want It for
the Then Unreleased Live Tracks!

A Great Live Version of New Girl Now!

" Hot Summer Night..."

ANGELs I Have Heard On (the) High (Seas)...

Excellent Audience Recording of ANGEL!

Apparently, It was some kinda Rock Music Cruise...
(All I Ever See Advertised on TV is the Disco Ones!?!)

But Anyway,
Angel Play Some Songs
from the Risen CD
as well as Their Classics!

(And The Artwork Is Fantastic!)

Everything You Need to Know is On The Covers!

Is It Hot In Here...OR?

Is Farrenheit Really Burnin' Up The Worcester Centrum!!!

I Mean - DAMN!

I Never Expected THIS!

I Listened to Their Debut CD and
It Was Well Played Pop/Rock...
A Nice Tuneful Record!

But THIS, Them LIVE!

DAMN!

This Is a Whole Other Thing!

They Were The Opening Act For
Just Another Band Out of Boston
This Particular August Night in 1987...

Ironic That It's Just The Three of Them on Stage...

This, My Friends, Is Just Kick-Ass Rock N Roll!

Farrenheit Left The Stage Smokin'
(And I'm Not Jokin'...)

You Folks Pickin' Up ALL The Hints I Been Droppin'?

IF You Listened to Their 1st Record...
Then You're Gonna Dig This!

IF You Passed on That Record...
DO NOT PASS ON THIS!

7/21/2021

Turn It Up...Louder & Louder!

UFO Steve Sez:

Waysted

Save Your Prayers demos

The Paul Chapman Tapes

 Apparently the story goes

Chapman wanted the finished album to sound

more like these demos

with the guitar higher in the mix

and a less polished sound

so these are the demo versions

with a couple of tracks that didn't make the album

NOTE: I Usually Don't Like To Interfere in UFO Steve's Posts in Any Way...
BUT, I Have To Say - You NEED To Hear The Guitars on THIS ONE!

It's Boogie Time...For Everyone!

Oh, Now Here's One You NEED!

FOGHAT, Live at The Agora Ballroom...

A WMMS Coffee Break Concert...

In Cleveland from 1984...

Excellent Sound Quality & Performance!

A Great Setlist...
I Particularly Like My Babe and Honey Hush,
BUT, There's NOT a Bad One among the Bunch!

Even Wide Boy Sounds Great!

The Band and Those in Attendance
Are ALL Havin' a Blast!

Another One of Those Concerts That Makes
You Remember Why You Liked Them in
The First Place and Reminds You That
You Haven't Listened to Them in Way Too Long!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

Drivin' Home in a Downpour...

This Concludes Our New England journey, Today, Kids!

A Band That Had a Big Hit with
Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya...

(Their 1st record was Produced by Paul Stanley...)

Lord Almighty, I Feel My Temperature Risin'...

Here's Another Boston-Based Band:
Farrenheit!

(Suggested by Tidesworthy...A Frequent Commenter!)

The Band was Formed by
Charlie Farren and David Hull (Heit)...
(And Muzz on Drums!)

Get Out Yer Joe Perry Project albums...
Look at I've Got The Rock and Rolls Again...

You'll See Charlie & David's Names All Over It...
Two Songs Were From Charlie's Previous Band:
Balloon!

Anyway, This was Their First Release from 1987...
Originally on Warner Bros., then Re-Issued
by Wounded Bird in 2010...
(It's Out of Print Again...)

It's Full of Catchy Pop/Rock Songs...

It was Produced by Keith Olsen (R.I.P. 2020)
A Name Familiar to
Benatar, Foreigner, Journey,
Heart, Etc. Fans!

NOTE: Notice Their Name is a Play on Words of
the Temperature Scale: Fahrenheit...
Well, It's Supposed to be 86 F Here Today...
To Convert to Celsius:
(86-32) = 54 x 5/9 = 6 x 5 = 30 C
No Wonder ONLY 5 Countries Around the World Use Fahrenheit!#!

Wonder What Farrenheit Sound Like Live?

Stayed Tuned to HRC for Another Thrillin'
Episode of "Meet The Farrenheits"...

But Right Now,
We Got To Get a Move On...

Welcöme tö Nöise Jersey...

Today, We're Gonna Take a Little Trip to New England...
(No Maps, GPS Needed...)

Nothin' But Music on Our Minds!

First Up, From Old England...
It's Motörhead!

Live in New Jersey from 1984...

There's Good News, and 'Course
That's Always Followed
With Bad News...

The Bad News IS:
The First and Last Songs are Incomplete!

The Good News IS:
Wendy O. Williams Joins The Boys on No Class!

More Good News:
IF'n You Can Stand Some Live Plasmatics...
You Can Take a Detour Over to Voodoo Wagon!
(Say Howdy to Jobe!)

Anyhow, It's Motörhead
and
They Play Rock N Roll!

Enjoy and Play It SO LOUD!

Oh, Suzi Q...

This Is an Excellent Recording of Suzi Quatro!
Doin' Her Thang!

The Sound Quality is Soundboard Or Pre-FM...

It's One of The BEST Soundin' of These Kinda
Live In The Studio Shindigs I've EVER HEARD!
So Crystal Clear...
(You Could Literally Hear a Pin or Pen Drop Between Songs!)

And Suzi Makes The Most of It!

All Shook Up and Shakin' All Over are Great Rockin' Covers!

But, It's the Song You Can Make Me Want You,
But You Can't Make Me Love You
That's a Real Stand Out Here!

You NEED To Hear This One!
Seriously!

Shame, She Will Probably Be Best Remembered as
Leather Tuscadero on the TV Show Happy Days!
(At Least, in The United States Anyway...)

IF You've NEVER Heard Suzi Q. -
This Is a Great Place to Start!

You Couldn't Change Me If You Wanted...

One More Live Show from American Minor!

Live at First Avenue in Minneapolis...
Back in 2006!

It's an Audience Recording,
But Another Good One!

And, 'Course The Band's on Fire!

The Setlist is Somewhat Different Than the
Other Shows Already Posted!

A Few Unreleased Songs as well...

This Band Shoulda Had More Time to
Make & Release More Music...

They Had The Songs and The Sound!

7/17/2021

Gettin' Wild with Johanna...

Johanna Wild was a Boston Band in the 70's...

Jon Butcher Played was a Member...

They were a Good Band with a Rockin' Sound!

Don't Let The Audience Recording Tag
Scare You Off of This One...

Else You'll Miss Out on
Some Scorchin' Guitar Playin'
and some Great
Original and Cover Songs!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

You've Been a Misfit All Your Life...

Nice Soundboard Recording of The Kinks!

A Little Further Down The Road...

Up Into the 80's...

Come Dancing was Big,
With the Help
of the MTV Video...

This Show from Chicago in 1987
Has a Pretty Varied Setlist That Covers
A Lot of Ground...

A Little Bit of Somethin' For Everyone!

Give'n The People What They Want!

TheKinks-Chicago87-CD1

TheKinks-Chicago87-CD2

A Snapshot In Time...

Here's the Follow-Up to 1987's Wishes...

Pictures From The Front is a Continuation
of What Jon Started There...

Yep. You NEED This ONE Two!

It Starts Out With I'm Only Dreaming,
a Cool Rocker with Great Lyrics!

NOTE: Somethin' 'Bout Me IS: I Don't Dream!
Yeah, I Know They Say Everyone Does,
They Just Don't Remember...
Well, THEY Are Wrong!

Division Street Is Probably My Favorite Song...
It's a Gritty Rocker That Sounds Like It Coulda
Been Written This Year...

On Come And Get It Jon Shows Off Some
Hot Guitar Licks!

Another Solid Effort by Jon...

'Course I Like ALL His Records,
Axis or No...

The Man Is Just One Talented Musician!
