An Observation

Just a quick note about the site and the number of visitors
we usually get.On a good day it's usually 1000+.
But over the past week or so it's been much higher than that.
Today so far it's up to 12,000+ already.
The last few days has seen numbers of 6-7 and up to 10,000 visitors.
Very strange, either somebody is putting our name out there
or the counter's broken!
I guess the moral of the story is the less you post
the more visits to the site!!
Anyway...Enjoy.

A Message From Eddie

To all the good folks who click onto HRC.
A HAPPY NEW YEAR
What a great year for me personally gig wise.
138 GIGS
309 BANDS
35 VENUES

A feat I have not achieved since the 80's and i can honestly say I have enjoyed every rockin' minute of it...THANK YOU LOCKDOWN!!! Let me explain...I stopped going to gigs during the late 90's...I just lost interest,The buzz that first attracted me back in '81 had gone I found myself more interested in the bar than the bands so I just stopped going UNTIL lockdown where like everyone else in the world we were stuck indoors and it just hit me " I WANT A GIG IN MY LIFE AGAIN" and as soon we were allowed out again and bands got back on tour I was in,slowly at first (it had been 20 years) but then SMACK my mojo was back .The hunger and the buzz had returned and I have not looked back since. The NEED to hear THAT song and WATCH that band new or old playing LIVE is back in full swing and I am feckin' lovin' it and finding a place to share these gigs just adds to the buzz especially when you take the time to leave a message even if you didn't like the music it's always good to hear from you.THANK YOU SMOKER for keeping the site going and here's to 2025 and the calendar is filling up nicely ….Bring it on...Ed.

It's A Book!

Pulled this book out due to the comments about
Uriah Heep and the Glasgow Apollo.
Great read this one all about the history and the
bands that played at the venue.
Long out of print no doubt.
As you can see from the list of bands,Uriah Heep were indeed
the last Rock Band to play there.
