We Are The Sultans...


 OK not a band I had much interest in.I was 
 pretty much only into Heavy Rock/Metal when I was growing up.
But! as you grow up a bit (I'm still growing)
quality will out.
What a fantastic guitarist Knopfler is.
Plus they backed it up with quality songs.
You forget how successful they were.
Absolutely massive.
This show is fantastic in sound and performance.

I'm Getting A Pick Up For My Steel Guitar...


 A band I think that are better every time I listen to them.
Here's Dire Straits with a show from '79.
Doing the hard slog of album/tour back in the day.
It's a Radio Broadcast so it's quality listening,
always a pleasure to hear the maestro,Knopfler.

A Long Time Ago Came A Man On A Track...

It's Dire Straits in Japan from 1983.
Touring the fantastic Love Over Gold album.
They just got more and more 
popular after every release.

The Pleasure And The Pain...


 Here's an excellent Radio Broadcast from Dire Straits.
The On Every Street Tour.
From Nimes,France.
Which is nowhere near Derek from Paris
as Nimes is Southern France.
(I looked).
There were a couple of tracks on this that were
cut into two or three parts for some reason.
Not on my watch! I've managed to join them 
back together for a better listening experience.
Who says we just throw these shows up?! Lol.
Enjoy.

from 1992 out of Denmark.
I've said it many times before that I used to dislike
Dire Straits when they were at their
most popular.Luckily I grew up (a little!).
Only six songs but you're still getting
a lot of music here.

Under The Shade Of A Coolibah Tree...


 More quality Rock from Dire Straits.
This time they're out there in Australia on
the Brothers In Arms Tour.
Going by the title it's the final show.
Great sound and performance once again.
If you're a big Dire Straits fan it would seem 
you're we catered for bootleg wise.
Who would've thought?

 A band that's proving to be popular here at HRC.
Dire Straits.
It's a fine one from Belgium 1981.
Excellent sound quality and performance.

Excellent stuff from 1985.
 Knopfler and his bandmates appealing to
just about everybody back then.
They were huge.

I Want My MTV...


 Here's another one from the Live USA series of bootlegs.
Dire Straits,with the phenomenal playing of Mark Knopfler.
No point having a great guitarist if you don't have the songs.
Luckily they do & lucky for us.
Like I said before I didn't appreciate this stuff at the time
but I do now.

So...here's another.

A massive album for the band and as it
turns out one of the best selling albums of all time.
