And I Got Cat Style...

NEW LINK
(provided by)

Here's a band that kept Rock 'n' Roll
alive during the 80's and beyond.
The fantastic Stray Cats.
Excellent tunes and playing on this Radio Broadcast
from (mostly) Canada back in 1983.
Tracks 1-16 from a live FM Broadcast
recorded at Massey Hall,Toronto,Canada,
28th March 1983.
Tracks 17 & 18 from a live FM Broadcast
recorded at Stages Music Hall,Chicago,
31st July 1983.
Vinyl Rip.

Take Me To The Top...

I loved early Crüe,they looked great had fun songs
and were entertaining.
Here they are on the Too Fast For Love Tour
back in '82.
They sound great on this Radio broadcast.
And it's back when Vince used to sing songs
all the way through.
The song Hotter than Hell would eventually turn up
renamed Louder Than Hell on the Theatre Of Pain album.
Good Times!
Vinyl Rip.

I Have Used Up All My Weapons...

Here's a cool one from Blue Oyster Cult
back in 1981 from NYC.
The album at the time,Fire Of Unknown Origin.
I assume it's a radio broadcast.
It's another of those boots where the songs fade at
the end.But no (if any) music is lost.
Some good songs included,Veteran Of The Psychic Wars
being a favourite of mine.
Enjoy!!

"Hey Man,I Am Cool,I Am The Breeze"...

Kiss on the Lick It Up Tour and an enjoyable
audience recording.
Still with Vinnie Vincent on board (just).
The usual high energy show for the time.
Everybody gets a solo and plenty of
inbetween chatter from Paul.

Pulsating To The Back Beat...

NEW LINKS

Little vinyl upload from the 10" record
released in 1990.
The Godfathers formed in the mid 80's
too late for Punk & too early for Britpop.
So they were kind of out on their own playing their
kind of music. They are guitar heavy but they're neither
Heavy Metal or Heavy Rock
they are Rock 'n' Roll.Sharp suited back in the day
they looked like some East End of London gangster mob.
Imagine the Krays in a band!
Still going today playing gigs and about to release a new album.
Only Peter Coyne (vocals) remains from the original band,
they're still lethal live.

great times and memories.

The Night Was Clear,And The Moon Was Yellow...

NEW LINKS

 Another great compilation from K-Tel.
This time some of the Rock 'n' Roll pioneers.
A massive 25 tracks on one album.
Admittedly most of them are pretty short.
The story behind this is it was one of those records
that was in the house when I was younger.
Due to moving and whatever else was going on
it disappeared.
A few years ago I tracked it down on ebay.
And here it is in all its glory.
Expect a few pops and crackles there's only so
much I can do before I ruin it!
Released in '72.

Fill Your Heads With...

NEW LINKS

There hasn't been a vinyl compilation put up since
mmm,yesterday!So here's another.
From French record label Carrere Records.
It's one that was pretty familiar back in the 80's.
Five bands are represented and it's Most Excellent!
From 1982.

It Was Alright 'til She Came Along...

NEW LINKS

 Another various artists vinyl rip
(we know you love 'em!).
From 1987 and on the BR Music label,
yeah I've never heard of it either.
Featuring a decent selection of bands
and songs you're sick of or haven't heard for a while.
Strangely Golden Earring get two songs on the record.
Yep one of them is THAT song (I love it tho').

Remember The Good Old 1980's?...

NEW LINKS

Sticking with the old vinyl compilations.
Here's Rock 80 from...1980.
A right mixed bag this one.
Seemingly there were a few of these albums
and this one is the Canadian version.
That's why there's some Canadian bands represented.
Released on the good old K-Tel Label.

or

Sample This!...

NEW LINKS

Alright the old vinyl compilations seem to be going
down pretty well. And you know what that means,
Yeah! another one.
A Little Bit Of Light Relief (A Rock Sampler)
to give it it's full title.
From 1982 on the Polydor label.
Some pretty good bands here and if you listened to
The Friday Rock Show in the UK
you'll recognise the Dixie Dregs track.
Not too familiar with Benny Mardones
but he belts out his tune.
Much enjoyed.

or

"The Blues Had A Baby"...

NEW LINKS

Joe Perry had left during the recording of
Night In The Ruts.
So this one features Jimmy Crespo on guitar.
From Boston,3rd December 1980.
Still sounds great, from an under appreciated era of the band.
This one Rocks!

Runnin' From The Day...

NEW LINKS

Here's another 80's Kiss vinyl boot.
Again from Gothenburg,Sweden.
But this time it's '83 and the guitarist is
Vinnie Vincent who seems to be tying to kill his
guitar with his over playing!
Lick It Up!!
Enjoyable audience recording.

or

Hiding From The Day...

NEW LINKS

This might well be one of the first Kiss vinyl boots
I bought way back.
80's Kiss,what a decade.
The make up came off.
A revolving door of guitarists,a new drummer.
Plenty of albums,all different.
The look of the band went from over the top to
lean & mean.
I loved it all!!  lol.

Back to the bootleg.
It's from Gothenburg,Sweden 1984.
Animalize!!
So it's the line up that features Bruce Kulick.
Finally someone who steadied the ship.
Audience recording and an enjoyable one.
