Rainy Day,Stormy Night...

NEW LINKS

Magnum from 1988.
This is a Radio Broadcast so we get them in
all their Pomp & Majesty.
This is the start of their most popular period
with the albums,Wings Of Heaven and
Goodnight L.A. Unfortunately they couldn't
crack America.Which is a pity
as they were a match for any of those
Melodic Rock bands at the time.
As we know it didn't matter how popular
or unpopular Magnum were,they still
released albums and toured on a
regular basis.Right up until the end.

Won't You Still Be There...

NEW LINKS

Magnificent Magnum and a little eight song set here.
From German TV back in '86.
Just before the Vigilante album came out
and we get a couple of tunes from that one here.

Nothing Would Change At All...

Another Radio Broadcast this time from Magnum,
London 1980.At the time of the release
of their Magnum II album.
Pomp Rock,Melodic Rock call it what you want
but a very good band. They're out there for a final tour as a tribute
to Tony Clarkin I believe.
A fitting tribute to a fine career.

You're In A Murderous Playground...

An FM Radio Broadcast of  Magnum 2 years before
their breakthrough album, On A Storyteller's Night.
But there are plenty of classic tracks on here
Changes,The Spirit,Sacred Hour,
Kingdom Of Madness and Solder Of The Line.
All songs that remained in the set list for years.
A good energetic performance by the band
and the old Marquee Club audience.

Please Be There...

Magnum live on the Vigilante tour of the UK in 1987.
Great sounding FM recording full of
hook laden songs that will be stuck in your head for days.
British Melodic Pomp Rock at its finest.

There's A Firework Show Tonight...

Very good sounding audience recording of
Magnum as special guest of Saxon in 2018.
A good set list of more recent
Magnum songs from the 2000s
and of course a few classic older tunes.
An excellent concert.

The Candle Burns Out Once More...

A good FM radio broadcast of Magnum
playing to an enthusiastic hometown audience in Birmingham.
With a lively performance featuring several classic Magnum songs,
that would feature in the set list for the next 40 years.

War Games On A Castle Wall...

This is a really excellent recording from an old vhs tape.
Recorded on the On A Storyteller's Night Tour in London 1985.
With a great set, mix of old and new songs.
59 minutes long or one Sacred Hour of Magnum.

May It Shine On You Tomorrow...

Very enjoyable audience recording from
English Melodic Rock legends,Magnum.
A band that consistently put
out quality albums.
Here they are in 2016 on the
Sacred Blood "Divine" Lies Tour
in front of a very appreciative crowd.
Let's here it for the MVP,Tony Clarkin.
Guitarist,Songwriter & producer.
How many great songs has this guy written?
I'm in the mood for a bit Magnum after this
so I'm digging into The Gathering.
A fantastic five disc set.
Thanks to Mark for this one.

And Music Recorded Might Influence Dreams...

I've been on a bit of a Magnum listening spree lately.
And why not?Great band.
Very good audience recording here from '94
in Nottingham,England.
The album is Rock Art.
If you like classy Melodic Rock with
substance over image,here it is.

I Hear The Voice Of The Crowd...

Back with another recent show recorded by EDDIE.
This time one of the best and most
consistent bands to come out of England.
Now Bob is in his mid 70's so his voice isn't
going to be the same as it was in the 80's.
I enjoyed the show I thought his vocals were fine.
There are some singers out there who can't sing
and they're still charging top prices.
It is what it is at this stage.
When all these bands we love finally finish.
There isn't anybody taking their place.

They Are The Victims Of The Night...

 Perennial Melodic Rockers,Magnum.
They've been releasing quality albums since the 70's.
Here they are in 1990 probably at the height
of their popularity.
Still touring and releasing albums.
A couple of drop outs here and there from this
radio broadcast.
