Hello Springfield...

A good Soundboard from the mk IV Deep Purple
with of course Tommy Bolin on guitar.
Live in Springfield USA on the Come Taste The Band tour.
An album that seems to get better
and more popular with age
(check out the excellent
remix on the 35th anniversary edition cd)
With plenty of tracks featured here
along with plenty of Purple improvisation and solos.

Talkin' 'bout,Sweet Satisfaction...

Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody
live in 1997 performing as The Snakes.
A soundboard recording with a couple of cuts
and a set of old classic
Whitesnake songs, which of course they
co wrote with David Coverdale for
those early 80s Whitesnake albums.
Featuring vocalist Johnny Lande whose
voice may reminder you of somebody.

See How They Run...

A couple of Beatles compilations.
Titled "The Alternate Versions".
Covering the years 1963 - '68.
The band have just released
their final single to great acclaim.
Very strange that the two most talked about
bands at the moment are,
The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.
60 years later...

I'm Just A Link In Your Chain...

An unreleased album from 2001 by The Majesticaires
other wise know as the Company Of Snakes.
Features former Whitesnake members
Micky Moody,Bernie Marsden and Neil Murray.
It appears from reading the text that
this album was a corporate giveaway to the Buckingham group,
a UK construction company's, workers.
The recording has a light soulful blues rock sound to it.

Tracks 4 & 9 are omitted, they are available on other albums.

I'm Always Takin' The Lead...

Deep Purple BBC transmission tapes 1974 live concert LP bootleg.
A friend of mine managed to get hold
of a vinyl copy of this
(wouldn't tell me how) a few years back.
And ripped it to an mp3 audio.
The sound on this is really excellent
and in my opinion better than the official releases,
even though it's not the full show
57 minutes of mk3 at their best.

And Watch The Band Kick Back And Play...

Now the word legend gets thrown around too easily
these days but I think in this case it can be fully justified,
with an amazing career he is still
treading the boards and with tonight's
packed out crowd he will be around for a few years yet...
having never seen him before I was quite
shocked just to how good his voice is and me
being Mr. Sceptical I was on the lookout for any
trickery coming from the mixing desk.
But no,he was truly singing live and it was such a joy to witness.
Not my favorite era of Deep Purple
but performance wise tonight was off the scale
and lastly at 72 years old after years of
well documented drug & alcohol
abuse he can still sing and look that good...
amazing... jeez pass me a whiskey and the crack pipe...
enjoy,Ed.

Ghost Rider,Riding By Her Side...

Gothic Rock...to be honest it's not a genre
I'm really familiar with but I do like
what these guys do,dark but with that commerciality
that really appeals to me and make their songs very
accessible but still with that doom & gloom the Goths love.
Packed crowd tonight
in one of my favourite London venues
and looking around these Goths know how to dress up
and I think I was the only one
without any make up on...top night...enjoy,Ed.

I Was Born Yesterday...

This was asked for recently in the comments,
Budgie with Craig Goldy on guitar.
(Request for Mr.Anonymous)
Pretty decent audience recording,
18 strong song setlist with classics and newer songs.
With of course plenty of Goldy solos.

One More Pretender Who Just Had To Go...

Excellent sounding dvd audio rip from the 1998 UK Tour.
Despite the strange appearance of
Michael Schenker (black hair, black and white fingernails,
black trench coat) his playing is really good.
Standard set this for '98 Tour
All round nice performances,nice show,
a one track mp3 split into 2.

I Hear The Wolf Howl Honey...

Whitesnake with McAuley Schenker as support played
3 nights at Wembley in December 1987.
Here is a good audience recording of the
massive selling Glam and Glitz version of
Whitesnake on the 30th.
And a very lively 1 track file of MSG
on the 29th,I was at this show on the 30th
and a very enjoyable night it was.

So Wild And Free,So Far From Me...

Very good audience recording of Def Leppard live on the
Pyromania tour of the UK,1983.
With an excellent Rocking setlist with
the band still young and hungry and
Hard Rocking. For many people at the peak
of their powers before the massive selling next album.

I'm A Cool Rockin' Daddy In The USA,Now...

The album and tour that broke
Springsteen and his band worldwide.
From the Born In The USA Tour from 1984.
A mega setlist full of excellent tunes
and half a cd worth of bonus tracks.
An excellent audience recording.
AND!!...the Boss is still out there doing it.
