Got No Brains,I'm Insane...

An Eddie recording from 1983 and a
band that had a lot of success with the
Metal Health album.Quiet Riot.
Here they are supporting Judas Priest
at Hammersmith Odeon.
And going by the sound of it the crowd
are digging this loud in your face
American support band.

I Grabbed My Hat And I Got My Coat...

 Alice on the comeback.
Halloween 1986.
After his pretty experimental albums of the early 80's.
He returned with a straight ahead Hard Rock album.
Touring and releasing albums since then
at a steady rate.
Only stopping to play a few rounds of golf no doubt.
We get a couple of songs from the new record
and the rest of the set is stone cold classic
Alice!

I'd Love You To Love Me...

Back into Eddie's bag of (Cheap) Tricks HaHa!
We're not finished with those 80's recordings, not by
a long shot.
Supporting Motley Crue here's Cheap Trick going down
very well with the Scottish audience.
Another enjoyable recording.

Ain't It A Shame...

Classic AC/DC on the Highway To Hell Tour.
From the legendary Hammersmith Odeon,London.
Unfortunately this was Bon's last tour.
I guess when you can't say no something's going to give?
The band are on fire and just about to break massive.
But with another album and singer.

On The Street He's Number One...

UFO, the complete Leicester 1983.
An FM show and a very good audience recording, both incomplete.
Plus a compilation I put together a few years ago
for a full show.
Very good lively performance with Paul Chapman
certainly cranking out the riffs and solos.

Too Late Now To Turn My Back...

Savoy Brown,a real classic British blues Rock
band that still exists today.
Led by Kim Maiden Simmonds since 1965.
Here is a very good sounding radio broadcast,
from New York in 1976.
Featuring Paul Raymond on guitar,keyboards
and some vocals.
He was in the band from 1970 - '73
& 1974 - '76.
Before joining UFO in late 1976.

Can You Show Me Where It Hurts?...

Pink Floyd after Roger Waters wasn't supposed to survive.
But they did.
Becoming even more popular, album sales &
tours only played stadiums and large arenas.
Here they are playing a few songs from the new
album.A Momentary Lapse Of Reason,
plus the classics we love.

We Got The Whole Damn Night To Go...

Just to get it out of the way,I'm a big fan of Hysteria.
I know it's not the heaviest of albums.
But it does show what can be achieved when
all that time can be spent on an album.
Here's Leppard playing a home town show at the
beginning of the Hysteria Tour.
Great stuff it is too.
With a mighty fine setlist.
Def Leppard the most successful band of the 80's.
(sales wise?)
They've just released a new album to positive reviews.

Break A Good Boy's Resistance Down...

Pretty good audience recording from
one of the many UFO line ups. This
one featuring Laurence Archer ( Stampede,Grand Slam)
on guitar. They made one album back in 1992,
High Stakes & Dangerous Men.
They play a couple of songs from the
new album and the usual classics.

Ninety Miles An Hour Gonna Get My Goat...

Good ol' Rock 'n' Roll from the Satellites.
The Ritz,NYC back in 1987.
No frills just everybody having a good time.
Plenty of their own tunes and a few covers too.
The artwork doesn't quite line up
with how it's split.

We're Exiled From The Human Race...

Here's the bonus live disc that came
with the Limited Edition Psycho Circus cd.
Six songs from the original band.
And a couple of new tunes played.
It's KISS you know them!!

Can't You See The Shape I'm In?...

Another Blues man who gave his all to the genre.
Rory Gallagher,gone but not forgotten.
Seemed to always be playing and releasing albums.
Pretty intense performer by all accounts.
No fancy stage show just instruments and amps.
This is a very good FM broadcast and well,
Rory is giving it large!

Hello There,Ladies & Gentlemen...

Here's Cheap Trick gracing the Reading Festival.
Pretty much slap bang in their glory era.
Heaven Tonight,At Budokan and the still to be released
Dream Police.Power Pop at it's finest.
Not much crowd captured on this recording
but by all accounts they went down very well.

Good Evening...

 Twisted Sister back in '82.
They weren't reinventing the wheel with their brand
of anthemic rock.
I enjoyed their first few albums,I was entertained.
Never as heavy on album as they were live.
They had a good run.
Years later they made the very good decision
to play short but lucrative tours & festivals.
Enjoy this one when they were full of beans!

Something's Got To Bite...

UFOSteve's back once again with his never ending suppy of
UFO and related shows.
Thanks,Steve.

UFO on tour in January 1981 as they often did
that time of year.In support of
The Wild The Willing And The Innocent album.
With four tracks played here.
A pretty good audience recording and performance.
With a lively audience.

Drop On Out And Spread The News...

Sunday mornin' Blues to get you up and movin'.
From Stockholm,Sweden back in '71.
Nice soundboard puts you front and centre.
Just basic, classic blues from somebody who meant it.
Johnny Winter.

Livin',Lovin' I'm On The Run...

This is a really excellent MSG audience
recording in Southampton 1982.
Featuring some great Schenker solos.
Graham Bonnet has gone after his misdemeanor,
at his one live show in Sheffield.
Gary Barden reappears and
stays in the band until March 1984.

Back Cover Corrected.

Little Fishes In The Sea,Say Hooray...

Time for a little cool from Lenny Kravitz.
A talented multi instrumentalist.
Captured Unplugged in 1992 & '94.
I first became aware of Lenny when he released the single
I Build This Garden for Us.
A little different I thought sounds like a
Rockin' Hippy.
So I bought the first album and enjoyed it then the second.
Then...that was about it.
Anyway it's a good listen.

Planning His Vengeance...

Alright it's ED's final show for the moment.
And he's excited by this one.

White Raven Down - I Always make sure I get to the gigs early
to catch the support bands.Hoping to find
a little gem here and there and I found one with these guys.
Again they were totally new to me but jeez they're
so good with catchy Hard Rock songs.
And in Stu Bailey they have a top quality guitarist...
keep an eye out for these guys...the future is bright.

I Just Wanna Go Home...

Another (new band) recording from EDDIE and here he is
to tell you all about them.

Ashen Reach - I have high hopes for these guys,
they blew me away when I seen them.
The quality of musicianship for a young band
is incredible.Hard/Heavy Rock with plenty of melody.
You have to check out their HOMECOMING album if you can.
And in Kyle Stanley they have a singer who can produce
the goods live.

Lend Me Your (Heavy Metal) Ears...

 Out of Holland it's Picture.
Not a band I know much about I only ever knew their song
from the compilation album,Hard Rock '83.
But they were right in amongst the Hard Rock/Metal explosion
back in the late 70's early 80's.
I had this one for a few years, listening to it again it
doesn't sound too bad.
Traditional European Metal,it Rocks.
Had a quick look around for some info and
looks like they're still playing and releasing albums.

Evil Minds That Plot Destruction...

Dio fronted Sabbath on the Heaven & Hell tour.
From Osaka,Japan.
What an album Heaven & Hell is.
Still one I spin regularly and one I listen to
all the way through.Cos there's no filler on that
monstrous slab of Metal.
It's a pity they fell out during the Live Evil album.
Another couple of studio albums would've been interesting.
