The Sun Sets In The Land of The Risin' Sun...

This was Queen's Last Tour of Japan...
I Believe!?!

Not Sure IF They Toured There With
Paul or Adam, But Then Again...
I Don't Call That Queen!

Kinda Like Lizzy Without Phil...

There's NOT a Hard & Fast Rule
For This Kinda Thing,
It's Just Subjective to Each Person, I Guess!?!

Anyway, This Is An Excellent Recording!
The Sound Quality Is Top Notch!
Even If, In My View,
Not ALL The Songs Are...

And, It's Not Marred with the Constant Clappin'...

I Posted a Peter Frampton Concert, Years Ago...
That Was Excellent and Ruined, At The Same Time!
I Believe I Invented the Word: CLAPZILLA!
(With All Due Respect to Japan and Its People...)

 IF You're a Queen Fan...
And Don't Have This One...
Get It!

In The Beginning...And Beyond...

I Started This Blog:
Hear Rock City...
Honestly, I Couldn't Tell You When...

I Can Tell You The Very First Post:
KISS - The Ultimate Fried Alive!
It was Sorta in Jest, 'Cause I'd Seen
Definitive Versions and Whatnot...

Anyway, The Real PURPOSE of
This Blog Was to INTRODUCE
Folks to The World of Bootlegs!

I Was Personally Fed Up with Torrents and Such...
(Too Many Rules and Rudeness Involved!)

My ONLY Rule Was (And Still IS:)
"Play Nice..."

So, I Wanted Folks To Be Able to D/L a
Concert (and Artwork) With Ease...
No Hoops to Jump Through...
No Passwords or Secret Handshakes...

Other Sites and Blogs Are Free To Do
As They Please
...and Should...

'Cause EACH Blog Has Its Own Purpose!

Hear Rock City Was NOT Designed to
Be The BEST Blog Ever!

It Was Basically a
Beginner's Guide to Bootlegs!
Simple As That!

smoker
Joined Up and The Rest Is,
As They Say,
Is History!

But Over The Years, Somethin' Happened...

Somethin' I Hadn't Counted On...

Folks Stayed!

They Kept Comin' Back, To My Surprise!

Hear Rock City IS NOT For Everyone!

Nor Was It Designed To Be...
As I've Explained...

But, Apparently, It Is Home For Some!

And, I Am Still In Awe Of The Folks
That Visit Over and Over and Comment and
Contribute and So On!

Thank You,
Rocket

Though I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death...

Another Metal Compilation...

This One From K-Tel...

From Back in 1987...
(I Believe...)

A Little More Metal Than That Previously
Posted One...
(From Accept to DIO to Vinnie to Yngwie...)
((And More!))

An Interesting Selection of Bands and Songs...

I Will Fear No Evil...

Soldiers Under Command...

It's Sunday, Once Again...

Here's a Christian Rock Band That
You May Not Be Familiar With...

Holy Soldier Took Stryper's Model
And Adapted It To Their Own Style...

They're Pretty Good
and
Not Real Preachy, Either...

As Always, You're Free To Take It Or Leave It...

Unrelated to THIS Recording:

Mark Twain was an Interestin' Character...

He was, At Times, Religious...

He Once Said:
" The Two Most Important Days of One's Life Are"
The Day You Are Born.
AND
The Day You Find Out Why.

Twain stated that he believed in an almighty God,
but not in any messages, revelations, holy scriptures
(such as the Bible), or retribution in an afterlife.

He also Said,
"if our Maker is all-powerful for good or evil,
He is not in His right mind".

Enjoy And Play It LOUD!

Are You Gonna March?...

Another from Eddie and one to blow the cobwebs away.

The Hip Priests - Here's a couple of short sets from
one of my discoveries in the last couple
of years. They play 100mph in your face Dirt Rock.
They've been around since 2007 with little success
but as their song says "Zero Fucks Given"
they gained a few more fans tonight...great stuff.

Wanna Take To The Sky...

Eddie's back and I've doubled up on the shows.

The Karma Effect - Another new band making waves.
They've only been going a couple of years playing that 70's
Rock sound vibe I love so much.
You can always tell when something is happening with a
band when the bar empties and all
their fellow musicians gather round...
ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR!

It's Like a Ghost Town, Out of Time...

OK, Folks...

Don't Care Who Ya Are,
(STOP What Yer Doin')
OR
What Ya Like,
OR
Think Ya Like...
OR
What Ya Don't...

You NEED to HEAR THIS ONE!

Gotta Be Honest...
Not Sure Why I D/L It in the 1st Place...

What with Charlie Watts Gone and All...
(He was One of the 1st Drummers I Played Along To...)

But, Steve Jordan does Him Proud...
Even Plays the Original Cowbell Intro to Honky Tonk Woman...
(There's a Story There, I'll Tell Sometime...)

There's ONLY 1 NEW Song
AND
It's EVEN Real GOOD!

An Excellent Audience Recording!!!
(recorded by Alysha)

I'll Shut Up NOW

So You Can Hear The CLASSICS!

Deep In The Heart of Texas...

UFO Steve Sez:

Two consecutive nights live at Texas Festivals in 2004

With the line-up consisting of the

Scorpions, Tesla, UFO and Keith Emerson

Both excellent sounding shows.

No Pete Way on this tour.

The US authorities wouldn't Grant him a

Visa due to past Misdemeanors.

UFO line up:

Phil Mogg vocals

Paul Raymond keyboards guitar

Vinnie Moore guitar

Jason Bonham drums

Barry Sparks bass

UFO in San Antonio

I'll Never Let You Down...

He's back the man who's been to more gigs than
The Rolling Stones,EDDIE!!

I Feckin' love these Scottish Blues Rockers
especially with their last album going more commercial.
Live, they are a joy to watch with brilliant musicianship.
The gig just flew past and not once did I look at my watch
to plan my journey home.
Which doesn't happen too often...UP THE JOCKS!

No Reason To Get Excited...

What I like to do when I'm browsing the interweb is,
download anything that's being offered free.
Like this one here.I didn't know anything about them
but I grabbed it anyway.
I've had it for a while and gave some of it a listen.
And...it's very good.Old school Rock music with plenty of
guitar action.
So if you like stuff like Gov't Mule
this'll be right up your street.

One Man's Trash...

Treasure was a rock band Felix Cavaliere formed.

Treasure
(which only made one LP)
featured future KISS member
Vinnie Vincent

Back in 1977, when the band recorded and toured,
he was using the name, Vinnie Cusano.

Drummer Jack Scarangella had worked
in various NY-based bands and done session work.

And Marty Davis Played Bass Live.

Treasure Played Two Nights in
December 1977
At
The Bottom Line...

Both Were Recorded by the
King Biscuit Flower Hour...

This Was the First of the Two Shows...

It's NOT Clear IF They Were EVER
Broadcast!?!

The third Version of 1989 was KISS'
Version on Hot In The Shade...

And, Finally, Came Robin Beck's
Version on Her Album
Trouble Or Nothin'...
