Another Chapter of Stryper...

FROM:

https://kingjamesband.com/band

Formed in 1993, King James has been called a

hard rock supergroup for good reason.

In 1993, Rex Carroll (Whitecross) met

Jimi Bennett (Sacred Fire) at the

Kingdom Bound Festival in Buffalo, New York.

Jimi was looking to put together a new band,

whereas Rex was

Feeling the pull toward new musical horizons.

As fortune would have it,

Stryper was in a down season as well.

Rex called Tim Gaines,

Jimi called Robert Sweet,

and the original

line-up of King James was born.

Jimi on lead vocals,

Rex on guitar,

Robert Sweet on drums, and

Tim Gaines on bass.

King James recorded one successful album

for StarSong in 1994 and toured extensively.

THIS Is THAT Album!

And, Rex Carroll Is Considered

"THE" Hard Rock / Heavy Metal

Guitarist of Christian Music!

You May Have Also Heard His Playin'

on NFL Programs on ESPN,

or

For the NBA,

Specifically the Milwaukee Bucks,

and On a

Tommy Bolin Tribute Album,

Etc. as well...

Famous Christian Rockers Ever:

STRYPER...

I Remember One Sunday in the Mid 80's,

Flippin' Through The Channels...

Jimmy Swaggert Was On...

(He was Cousin to Jerry Lee Lewis &

Mickey Gilley...)

But What Caught My Eye Was A

Picture of Stryper...

And Him Sayin' "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing."

"Don't Be Fooled...

"They're Doin' It Just For The Money!"...

And Then He Said Somethin' Like:

"Send In Your Love Offering ($$) and Receive"...

The Last Supper Steak Knife Set Or Some Such...

I Thought It Was Pretty Funny...

Anyway,

Here's Stryper - Live In Japan

From a DVD From Back in 1985...
