Great read this one all about the history and the
bands that played at the venue.
Long out of print no doubt.
As you can see from the list of bands,Uriah Heep were indeed
the last Rock Band to play there.
What a dream list... I'll sleep well tonight dreaming I lived next door to the Apollo.

ReplyDeleteThe old place exists forevermore on a few official live albums recorded there like Status Quo's 'Live', Alice Cooper's 'Live At The Apollo Theatre Glasgow'' & AC/DC's 'If You Want Blood.. You Got It'.
Bands liked to record shows in Glasgow as the crowds were so loud & rowdy if they were into you, as you can also hear on The Kinks 'Live At The Kelvin Hall', most of Alice In Chains 'Live', The Sensational Alex Harvey Band 'Live In Glasgow' & Anthrax's 'Kings Among Scotland'.
