No One Cared To Stay Around...

The sweet sound of Fleetwood Mac from 1975.
From before Rumours took them to another level.
Very nice Radio Broadcast.
Always great to hear that classic tune,I'm So Afraid.
Lindsey Buckingham ripping it on vocals and guitar.

Leaving On The Midnight Train...

Another vintage Quo show from Germany 1973
on the Hello album tour.
A Very listenable two track MP3 file.
Good to see three tracks from the Dog Of Two Heads
album still in the set.
And as you would expect from this
period of the Quo it's all pure boogie.

Some Quo News!!

Came across this on Facebook
Status Quo live new super deluxe edition box set.
Featuring all three nights they recorded at the Glasgow Apollo
for the original album.
Apparently the first night is set for a vinyl release for record store day in April 2025
with the box set later in the year.

We Had Time Enough to Spend...

Robin Trower back after a 2 year break from touring
promoting the excellent Victims Of The Fury album.
A decent FM radio recording (some hiss) from Hammersmith 1980.
The band now back as a three piece played a lively rocking performance with the newer songs sounding great live.

Get Your Kicks...

From a small club in Paris,France it's The Rolling Stones
warming up to celebrate their 50th anniversary Rockin'
& Rollin'.Very good audience recording, maybe from the front
row as it puts you right there front and centre.
And the Stones are sounding pretty fine as well
cos as we all know, class is permanent!

You Gotta Shoot It For Me...

Ripped from an old bootleg CD I acquired years ago.
UFO on the Lights Out tour supporting Rush.
Michael Schenker has returned to the band after
his midtour disappearance and puts in an excellent performance.
Overall,it's a decent listenable sounding
show with a good energetic performance.

You Can Call It What You Want...

An excellent sounding one track DVD audio rip
of Rory Gallagher cranking out the songs on his trademark old beat up Fender Strat.
An enjoyable 60 minutes of classic Blues Rock.

Shoot Shoot,Shoot It Boy...

Now this was an eye opener for me,They've been around for about 10 years but totally passed me by as the music they play (Bluesy,Psychedelic Proggy Rock) is not really my go to music but I fancied something a bit different so I went along and I'm glad I did for 90mins I was transported back to the late 60's and it was rather excellent...think early Floyd,Heep,Soft Machine etc etc...Definitly worth a listen if you like those sort of bands...Enjoy,Ed.

You Bought A Guitar To Punish Your Ma...

Now if I was make a fantasy Queensryche setlist it would be what Geoff played tonight...absolutely stunning... every song  was an anthem played and sang at the highest level to a packed Academy crowd.Who just lapped it up and to hear him play Pink Floyd's 'Welcome To The Machine' was the icing on the cake.He has promised to come back every year till he can longer perform and I will be going every year till I can no longer walk...what a gig...Enjoy,Ed.

Ooh Ooh, She's A Little Runaway...

 Very enjoyable performance here from
Joan & her Blackhearts.
High energy Rock n Roll from The Ritz,NYC
way back in 1982.
This one used to be up but the link is dead.
So here's the replacement.

If It Wasn't For Bad Luck...

Here's one that comes in from Gman, thanks buddy.
It's another in the series of dvd-audio discs.
Hard to come by these days and they'll cost you a pretty penny.
I looked up a list of these discs a while ago
and they cover a lot of musical genres.
Found out this is from March 26-1984
West Palm Beach.

As well as Pat the other members are
Jerry Riggs-gu/voc
Pat Marchino-dr
Barry Dunaway-b

Good old riffy Hard Rock!!

No One Sees The Tears...

A Soundboard vinyl rip of Whitesnake live at the
Monsters of Rock Festival
in Sweden on the Slide It In tour. Good to hear old style
versions of Fool For Your Loving and Here I Go Again
with the original hobo lyric. No Mickey Moody or
Bernie Marsden but John Sykes does a fine job.

You Know That Energy...

An excellent radio recording of the Pat Travers Band at their
Rocking best and probably at the peak of their popularity in the States.
Here in the UK  their albums never troubled the charts.
Not even the excellent 1979, Go For What You Know live album.

The Terror's About To Unfold...

Spooky...it was 42 ago years to the week since I last seen these guys
(Marquee Club Oct '82) and I enjoyed them just as much tonight as I did way back then.If there ever was a band name that did not suit the music it's DEMON you can picture Heavy Metal with songs about the devil blah blah but you would be so wrong,These guys play Heavy Melodic Rock of the top order.Another one of those bands that should of been bigger than they were but hey ho, it didn't happen but thankfully they are still around playing the odd gigs and there is definitely a market for them as it was packed tonight even if they do have to rely on playing the songs from the first 2 albums released all those years ago. Enjoy,Ed.

Into The Sound Of Distant Drums...

Now don't get me wrong I like Dare but tonight
on a 3 bill show (also feat. FM & Tyketto) they were the weakest link.
My problem is vocally I just don't think
Mr. Wharton is strong enough in that
department BUT that's just my opinion
and musically they were excellent and with the other
bands made it one of the gigs of the year...Enjoy,Ed.

Riding High And Falling Low...

My aim for all you Rockers at HRC is to keep you updated on the latest tours from well established bands we all know & love BUT also to bring you new and exciting bands I think are worthy of an introduction and give you a brief glimpse of what's happening with the Rock music scene over here in the UK.Which is heathier than ever,Here is another band doing the rounds on the small club circuit playing good solid Hard Rock with a funny and engaging frontman.AND what made this gig even more special was the fact it was A MATINEE gig...Perfect for oldies like me who prefer to be home with a hot chocolate and ready for bed by 9pm ha ha ha.But seriously what a great idea with a healthy crowd all going apeshit to the band at 4pm in the afternoon...It's the future...Enjoy,Ed.

Her Eyes Were Hazel...

The Stones back in '78 rehearsing
for the Some Girls Tour.
Yeah they did put the work in.
Sounding good,sounding locked in.

(Trying out another upload site.
I tried it and it seems to work pretty well)

Dreams Carry On...

Bit of a Hard Rock Supergroup now with Badlands.
A band many thought should've went further
than they actually did.
Made up of four shows from 1989.
Quality band.

Look Back And Turn Back...

Good audience recording of Uriah Heep from Seattle 1973.
For many fans this is the classic period of the band
with of course David Byron on vocals.
With a setlist very similar to the excellent live in Birmingham album.
