They're Not At Home...

 Welcome back everybody for (hopefully)
another year of Rock 'n' Roll.
We start with some sleazy Rock from the
early 90's.Touted as the next big thing,
The Throbs outta New York.
Signed to Geffen and their only album was produced by Bob Ezrin.
I like it...still.
But I think these demos have a little more urgency and aggression.
As we all know Grunge was making a splash
and it was harder for new bands to make that breakthrough.
Tape Rip.

  1. Thank you for this....I look forward to the explanation you gave (better in your opinion) because I feel as though their releases were a bit watered down, production wise.

    1. Yeah the production wasn't as in your face as I would've liked.
Plus piano on Rip It Up? (Proud To Be Loud).
Still a fine album contained some good songs such as Ocean Of Love, classic stuff.

    2. Didn't Little Richard play the piano parts on '...Language...'? I'm sure i remember reading that.
Their 2nd album, the cleverly titled 'Second' (2014), was a surprisingly good listen. I wasn't expecting too much from it, but it kicked ass convincingly.

  3. Played this today, very good like the edgy guitar sound, they remind me of iggy pop/ramones,even motley crue a little bit,not surprised ginger liked them,I would like to hear their proper album now.
