Ashen Reach - I have high hopes for these guys,

they blew me away when I seen them.

The quality of musicianship for a young band

is incredible.Hard/Heavy Rock with plenty of melody.

You have to check out their HOMECOMING album if you can.

And in Kyle Stanley they have a singer who can produce

the goods live.

Lend Me Your (Heavy Metal) Ears...

Not a band I know much about I only ever knew their song 

from the compilation album,Hard Rock '83.

But they were right in amongst the Hard Rock/Metal explosion

back in the late 70's early 80's.

I had this one for a few years,listening to it again it 

doesn't sound too bad.

Traditional European Metal,it Rocks.

Had a quick look around for some info and

looks like they're still playing and releasing albums.

What an album Heaven & Hell is.

Still one I spin regularly and one I listen to

all the way through.Cos there's no filler on that 

monstrous slab of Metal.

It's a pity they fell out during the Live Evil album.

Billy's Got A Gun,He's On The Run...

 Here's Billy Rankin's first solo album from 1984.

It's from his website and he's quite happy to share 

for those of you who keep up with past posts.

It's in the area of Rick Springfield/Billy Squier

kinda Pop/Rock but with plenty of guitar.

It features a drum machine so it dates it for sure.

He had some success with the album,I bought the single

"Baby Come Back" back in '84.

So I hope Billy got some of my money! lol.

I don't ever remember seeing the album in 

record shops back then which was pretty

strange,lookin' back.

Another new band for us and again it comes from Eddie.

Another terrific Welsh trio heavy as hell 

but with plenty of melody.I seen them just before lockdown 

and didn't think much of them.So the difference

two years later is huge.And the crowd really let them know

they are on the way up...great version of Budgie's Breadfan.

We're back with UFOSteve and another UFO or related post.

After leaving UFO in 1974 Paul Chapman formed

the band Lone Star in 1975.

Which lasted until 1978 when Chapman re-joined UFO.

A sort of heavy blues prog rock band with 

a very 70's style sound.

They released two albums

Lone Star (1976)

Firing On All Six (1977)

Riding High (1978) the unreleased album finally came out in (1999).

Here are two BBC sessions from 1976 & 1977.

Excellent sounding radio broadcasts that

play as one mp3 file,49mins long.

Back with another recent show recorded by EDDIE.

This time one of the best and most 

consistent bands to come out of England.

Now Bob is in his mid 70's so his voice isn't

going to be the same as it was in the 80's.

I enjoyed the show I thought his vocals were fine.

There are some singers out there who can't sing

and they're still charging top prices.

It is what it is at this stage.

When all these bands we love finally finish.

There isn't anybody taking their place.
