Some People Break The Rules...

Over to you,Ed.

Quite a new band really been around since 2009,
they play fast and furious street punk.
Bordering on Oi Oi punk which was quite
big back in the day but thankfully these days
violence does not follow it around like it used to.
It's fascinating watching the mosh pit at some of these gigs.
They really go for it and how the hell they don't
get seriously hurt is beyond me...
Great night was had.

Well I Can Rock With Anyone...

Our Buddy UFOSteve is back once again pulling something
from the U section!

One more of my old bootleg cd rips.
2 Radio Broadcasts.
The first one from France February 7th 1983.
With Billy Sheehan on bass guitar.
Complete with the mad French disc jockey between tracks.
And then the second part has the Radio edit Broadcast
of the St. Louis show on 24th April 1982.

How Easy It Would Be,To Show Me How You Feel...

A band that did have some good success,it's Extreme.
With the album Pornograffitti & the big
lighter waving ballad,More Than Words.
I dug that album especially the other single
Get The Funk Out.
Of course Gary went on to have an ill fated
time in Van Halen.
Nuno had a cool gig playing guitar for Rihanna.
Back to the good times it's a radio broadcast from '89.

Reaching For The Stars,We Blind The Sky...

After the Dehumanizer album with RJD.
Sabbath are back with Tony Martin on vocals
for the Cross Purposes album & tour.
A pretty good audience recording from L.A. 1994.
The last track Mob Rules/Computer God features
Dio from Boston 1992.
All in all pretty enjoyable.
Silver cd rip.

Like Ants In A Colony We Do Our Share...

Getting closer I can nearly make him out,yep
it's Eddie tellin' it like it is.

Just to show that it's not just the Brits that do Punk well,
I've always like this lot
with their short fast Yank Punk.
I stood at the back and watched the crowd
lap it up.Although when he mentioned the Jubilee
it didn't go down too well.
Not many Royalists in here tonight...great gig!!

But I'd Rather Be Back In Soho...

It's a support & headliner set.

Who's that coming over the hill?
It's Eddie coming to tell us all about this one.

Here he is Mr. Charlie Harper and the UK Subs.
A lot of people have said he is Mr. Punk.
Starting it all way back in 1976 and still going after all these years.
The bands love him the fans love him, total legend,
and at 125 years old still looking good.

When The Record's On The Deck...

Three Irish brothers who went on a Hard Rock
journey back in the 80's.
They didn't do too badly back then.
For those who like straight ahead Rock
with a bit style.

Have Mercy...

A couple of shows from ZZ Top for you to
Boogie on down.
First up from the Live USA series
our Little ol' band are playing at
Jo Hall,Osaka,Japan
19th Feb. 1987.
This is after all the success of the Eliminator record.
Which to be fair they tried to recreate a couple more times.

Next we're way back to 1980.
From Capitol Theatre,New Jersey.
This one is before all the MTV videos.
Great band!

Pretty Bubbles In The Air...

Another vintage Punk Band from EDDIE.
Why doesn't he pull up a chair and tell us all about it.

They have been around for over 40 years and still
play their Oi Oi Punk with intense aggression.
Big football fans so they play a couple of terrace anthems
from their beloved West Ham.
I can live with that but, they admit to being
long time Rockers and even play a
Sweet cover.
Another great gig with a big crowd.

I remember these guys made a Rock album
back in the 80's & it was produced by Pete Way.

Well,How Could You Have Waited So Long?...

Here's the first show of the reunited original KISS.
It was one of those let's get all the kinks ironed
out before the Tour starts.
And they needed it,pyro and sirens going off
at the wrong time etc.
Anyway KISS getting back together was big news.
It was very successful until the old
problems showed up once again.

I've Been To Eastbourne Too...

Well not only is EDDIE into Hard Rock/Metal
he's also into Punk!
Here's the first of his Punk recordings.

Take it away Buddy!!

I like Punk Rock, there I've said it now,I like the
attitude & aggression that comes with it.
To be honest it's Heavy Rock with shite vocals
and I love it.Here we have one of my favourites,
Anti-Nowhere League.
I never got to see them back in the day but thankfully
they are still around and selling out shows.
A lot of the songs will be new to most people.
But,So What has been covered by Metallica
if you're offended by bad language then
don't bother...it's very rude.

Caught Up In A Game You Just Can't Win...

Sorry to hear of the passing of original Bon Jovi
bass player,Alec John Such.
I always thought he was pretty cool.
Here's a King Biscuit recording of an early Jovi show.
Playing most of their first album.
I was all over their debut, thought it was great.
Anyway the boys are Rockin' pretty hard here.

You Ride To Where The Highway Ends...

Waysted live at a small Glasgow venue featuring some
new songs from the album at the time - The Harsh Reality.
And the usual stage favourites all done in
their organised chaotic way.

Fast As Light Our Jets Were Burnin'...

UFOSteve is back with more sounds!!

This one is listed as the definitive version.
A soundboard recording,is the sound better?
Maybe,I don't know.
But I do know it's definitely a great UFO bootleg.
Recorded live at the Starwood Club,West Hollywood in 1976.
Promoting the excellent No Heavy Petting album.
A very lively performance featuring some amazing
Schenker solos,classic Schenker era UFO.

Alright our old buddy from Australia,
Guitarist/Songwriter
Scotty Gregory has been back in touch.
And he's offering us his band's new
five track E.P.
They're called Charged.
If you like that old school Hard Rock
with a dirty guitar sound it should be right
up your street.
To me they sound more Angel City than AC/DC

All That You Need Is In Your Soul...

 More From ED...

Kris Barras Band - I've been following Mr. Barras
since his Blues days and to be honest that's
what I was expecting.BUT!...No! he has gone
full blown Rock and I love it.
A couple of times during the show he came forward
and let rip with some guitar work that reminded
me of Gary Moore during his 80's period.
Super fast yet so melodic,YES,that good.
His acoustic version of Skynyrd's Simple Man
is stunning.Soon to be seen at an arena near you,
without a doubt.

Lonesome On The Trail...

 High Octane Rock 'n' Roll!

These guys seem to have been around forever but
this was my first time seeing them.
This was early in the tour which seen them
spend 3 months playing every club all around Europe,
now that is dedication.Total road monsters.
I had read they sometimes play Country sets
but thankfully this was not one of them.
Pure down 'n' dirty Rock just how it should be...
Love It!

You Hear The Whispers...

And we're back with another round of Eddie's recordings...Hit It!

Takida - Even an old git like me can walk out of a gig
just stunned at what I've just witnessed.
I had never heard of this Swedish band until
2 months ago yet they've been around for over 20 years.
Looking around the venue everybody knew
all the lyrics to every song.
Talk about late to the party...
if you like your Rock in the Nickleback sound you
will love it.I cannot praise them enough, catchy songs
and a singer with a voice to die for...
best gig of the year so far!

Hit It! We're No Overnight Sensation...

Twisted Sister from back in 2001.
They got together again for the first time in 14 years
to play this NY Steel Benefit.
Along with Ace Frehley & Skid Row amongst others.
A suitably energetic performance.

It Don't Break My Heart...

Back to the 80's and all female band Rock Goddess.
They didn't do badly back then.
Got on some good tours and released a couple of
albums.Then,they split.
Seems they got back together again a few years ago.
Releasing the album This Time in 2019
and playing live.
