Lonesome On The Trail...

A Thin Lizzy Farewell to Glasgow.
Excellently captured by local Radio Station,Radio Clyde.
Going out on a high the boys are on fire.
Sad that there are members of the band no
longer with us...but the music will always live on.

Headbangin' In Space!

NEW LINKS

Here's a decent slice of Metal from 1984.
On the Ultra Noise label.
Only six tracks and one's repeated.
I got this when it came out and I still like it.
I think this was their only release I don't
remember anything more from them.
The singer Frank Starr went on to join The Four Horsemen.

Don't Give In...

NEW LINKS

Another session for the Friday Rock Show.
This time quality Melodic Rock from FM.
Now this is a band that should've challenged
the big American AOR scene.
They had the sound and the songs.
Still releasing high quality albums I believe.
Tape Rip.

or

performed here.
Every one's a killer!
They even had a hit at the time with -
You Better You Bet.

Look To The East...

NEW LINKS

or

Japanese Metal from Vow Wow from the Reading Festival.
Formally known as Bow Wow.
Japanese Rock Bands were pretty popular back then.
Earthshaker,Loudness to name another two.
Technically excellent it's good head shakin' stuff.

I've Been In Every Bar,In Every Town...

NEW LINKS

 From Donington 1990.
A bit Retro Rock from The Quireboys.
Stones,Faces type 70's Rock.
Nothing wrong with that if it's done well
and the Q-Boys do it very well.
The last I read about the band was Spike had been removed
in some kind of hostile takeover.
Being that he's the only original member it
seems a bit strange.
It'll be interesting to see what the outcome
of that situation is going to be.
Rock 'n' Roll Huh?

or

Hey You,What Can I Do?...

NEW LINKS

Rootsy Rock 'n' Roll from the Quireboys
playing the Reading Festival back in 1987.
Good honest Bluesy Rock featuring
those classic Spike vocals.

The year of tragedy.
Iron Maiden,Kiss and that up and coming
band Guns 'n' Roses.

Just that they seem to have bit of a
Maiden vibe about them.

or

She'll Take Your Soul...

NEW LINKS

Canadian Rock now from Lee Aaron
at the '87 Reading Festival.
Pretty popular back in the 80's I think.
Or she just seemed to be in a lot of the mags back then.
Fine little Rockin' set here.

or

Careful With That Axe,Lizzie!

Not a band I ever listened to.
Apart from seeing them in the magazines back in the day

Ninety Tons Of Thunder...

NEW LINKS

Fine little set from Metal Legends Saxon.
Playing the massive Wacken Festival back in 2012.
Still going strong they've just released a cover versions album.
Always staying true to their roots, apart from
that bit in the mid 80's when they went a bit big hair!
Bang.Your.Head.

or

Can You Feel The Power?...

NEW LINKS

I'm having a great time going through a
couple of hard drives for this resurrection of HRC.
Anyhoo, going by the date of the files I
did a lot of tape rips about 8 years ago.
So it's time to get some of them back up.
Here's a goodie from legendary Metallers,SAXON.
Short but very sweet,enjoy!

Look At Mother Nature On The Run...

NEW LINKS

One man and a guitar (and a keyboard and a harmonica!).
Neil Young.Writer of many great songs.
He's playing a lot of them here.
Although not the greatest of singers.
It's hard to imagine anybody else singing these songs.
His voice at times just keeps on the right
side of in tune.
But that's what makes it real!!
Springsteen joins him for the last song.
Tape Rip.

or

The Thunder Of Guns...

NEW LINKS

 Classic British Rock from Thunder.
We'll say it once more, great band.
Still doing it they've recently released a new album,
All The Right Noises.
So here they are Live From London,1990.

or

Burn Them Witches!

NEW LINKS

The Heavy Metal Queen,Doro and her band Warlock.
This one from Donington '86.
Of course she would leave and go solo.
She's still doing it and she has dedicated her
musical life to the (Heavy Metal) cause.

or

He's Lost In Time...

NEW LINKS

I thought I'd put this one up (again).
Can't find it on the site so here it is for
anyone who missed it on a previous HRC.
Cool little Radio Broadcast from the classic MSG line up.

We all know he's one of the greats...Enjoy.

NEW LINKS

Great concert here from Marillion back in 1984.
From the Glasgow Apollo and recorded by
Radio Clyde.
Excellent crowd here as you'd
expect from this legendary venue.
I was a fan of the first album and caught up
with the rest of the Fish era later.
Tape Rip.
