High Priest Of Love...

From the same Festival here's Zodiac Mindwarp
& The Love Reaction.
Other wise know as Mark Manning from Bradford,England.
I loved these guys back then.
He had a whole act going on,American accent &
a great sense of humour.
They released a mini album,High Priest of Love
(highly recommended).
Then they got the record deal and we were waiting for the album.
It kept getting put back, then it arrived.
It wasn't that good.
They did have a couple of hit singles from it.
After that...wasn't that bothered, momentum had been lost.
So if you like that dirty Rock 'n' Roll (Circus Of Power etc)
but with a sense of fun you'll probably dig this mob.
Co-writer of Feed My Frankenstein you can
hear his version on the Hoodlum Thunder album.

    1. Yeah I agree he gave some of the funniest interviews back then.
      Yep B-sides were cool.
What I remember is that after the success of the singles the album
was delayed a few times. And when it did come out it was a bit disappointing.
Also I went to see Alice Cooper in '86 and Zodiac Mindwarp were the support,
until they weren't.He'd injured his eye if I remember correctly and they were replaced by,
Dr. And The Medics who had a hit at the time with Spirit In The Sky.
So never saw them and after that first full length album I kinda lost interest.

  2. Not sure which release you are speaking of, but 'Tattooed Beat Messiah' is a great record. I can't remember the name of it, but I'm pretty sure there was one before it and THAT was a release that I didn't think was that good.
