Greetings, Been getting this message from filefactory for a few days now. Server Load Too High. Can you please post a mediafire link? Thanks for all you do Rich.
My second ever gig!!! Oh the (half) memories. The support act was Queensryche who got booed off the stage for their bouffant hair/make-up & weird '80's stage costumes & I also seem to recall RJD emerging from a fibreglass cave (one of the more novel stage props i've seen). And all for a mere £4.00! Dio were absolutely incredible. For my money the Dio/Bain/Campbell/Appice line-up was never bettered, it's just a shame it didn't last longer. What an astonishing voice Ronnie had & such masterful ease in holding a crowd in the palm of his hand. He led 'The Apollo Choir' (all in fine voice themselves that night) splendidly through a kiler set. Sadly, we'll never see his like again, but he left us an amazing catalogue of quality music.
Surprisingly the Radio Clyde broadcast only omitted 4 songs from the set, though they were all fairly long ones. Here's the complete setlist:
Dio Setlist: Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, Scotland (23/09/1984)
Stand Up and Shout One Night in the City Don't Talk to Strangers Mystery Egypt (The Chains Are On) Holy Diver Drum Solo Heaven and Hell (with guitar solo) The Last in Line (followed by "Heaven and Hell" reprise) Rainbow in the Dark Man on the Silver Mountain Long Live Rock 'n' Roll We Rock The Mob Rules
The best ever voice of hard rock and during these years, he was on fire. I fondly remember also when he played with Black Sabbath. Greetings from Paris,

I know some of the songs here are long, but I'm just surprised that as a headliner, there weren't MORE songs in the setlist.
DeleteThere were more songs this is what was broadcast.
