First ever concert for me way back in '76 at The Stanley Theater. They opened with Ballroom Blitz following the Stripper music and film intro and I lost my mind. They were basically touring the US version of Desolation Boulevard and this album. They claimed Action was their new single but I never ever heard it on the radio. It is a shame they never rocked this hard ever again as they slowly tried to become The Eagles or something like that. They just officially released the demos from the making of the Wink album and if you are a fan, it is a must have. For me it is just as exciting as the new Lizzy box set but that's just me. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Hellion, nice reading that you saw them back in their glory days. I only saw AS Sweet in the nineties but they still rocked. Love the Give us a Wink LP but their swan song LP Level Headed with Love is like oxygen remains my favourite one because maybe of the sadness in the voice of Brian Connolly. It still moves me. Tried to find the official GusaW demos but looks like it's alreay unavailable in France.
Btw, downloaded the new artwork and will burn this remaster version of the Toronto concert. All thanks to Rocket !
You Are Always Welcome! And It's One of My Favs as well... We Got the Full On SWEET with Wink! While the Singles Were Good, The B-Sides Were Gold! I Still Remember Hearin' Burn On The Flame for the 1st Time!!!
Thanks first go to our friend Rocket (hope he sees this) who was the guy who started it all, sharing, uploading, remastering, providing covers, and all for free !!!
