See The Horse And The Gun...

NEW LINKS

A cool band that's highly rated at Hear Rock City.
Cry Of Love,quality Blues Rock.
Managed to find some more stuff from them
a while ago.Got 'round to digging it
out and making covers etc.
So we've got a Radio Broadcast and a very good
 (excellent) audience recording to enjoy.

Here I Am...

NEW LINKS

Back to 1985 and a Killer Kompilation from
Kerrang! magazine.
Some of the big hitters at the
time and some nearly there bands.
Vinyl was a little rough on this one but,
great times and memories.

or

The Night Was Clear,And The Moon Was Yellow...

NEW LINKS

 Another great compilation from K-Tel.
This time some of the Rock 'n' Roll pioneers.
A massive 25 tracks on one album.
Admittedly most of them are pretty short.
The story behind this is it was one of those records
that was in the house when I was younger.
Due to moving and whatever else was going on
it disappeared.
A few years ago I tracked it down on ebay.
And here it is in all its glory.
Expect a few pops and crackles there's only so
much I can do before I ruin it!
Released in '72.

Fill Your Heads With...

NEW LINKS

There hasn't been a vinyl compilation put up since
mmm,yesterday!So here's another.
From French record label Carrere Records.
It's one that was pretty familiar back in the 80's.
Five bands are represented and it's Most Excellent!
From 1982.

or

It Was Alright 'til She Came Along...

NEW LINKS

 Another various artists vinyl rip
(we know you love 'em!).
From 1987 and on the BR Music label,
yeah I've never heard of it either.
Featuring a decent selection of bands
and songs you're sick of or haven't heard for a while.
Strangely Golden Earring get two songs on the record.
Yep one of them is THAT song (I love it tho').

or

Remember The Good Old 1980's?...

NEW LINKS

Sticking with the old vinyl compilations.
Here's Rock 80 from...1980.
A right mixed bag this one.
Seemingly there were a few of these albums
and this one is the Canadian version.
That's why there's some Canadian bands represented.
Released on the good old K-Tel Label.

or

Sample This!...

NEW LINKS

Alright the old vinyl compilations seem to be going
down pretty well. And you know what that means,
Yeah! another one.
A Little Bit Of Light Relief (A Rock Sampler)
to give it it's full title.
From 1982 on the Polydor label.
Some pretty good bands here and if you listened to
The Friday Rock Show in the UK
you'll recognise the Dixie Dregs track.
Not too familiar with Benny Mardones
but he belts out his tune.
Much enjoyed.

A White Night Space Rocket In Sight...

NEW LINKS

Back to Sweden again for this cheeky little download.
A 5 track promo cd from the Backyard Babies.
Promoting their forthcoming album at the time
Total 13.
If you like your Rock 'n' Roll,Sleazy,Riffy & straight to the point, enjoy.
I saw these guys supporting AC/DC on the
Stiff Upper Lip Tour.
I liked 'em.They had the tunes, the energy & cool hair.

or

No Dice Honey You're The Salt...

NEW LINKS

Here's a new vinyl rip of one of the best
known Aerosmith shows out there in internet land.
Boston 1978.
From the Draw The Line Tour.
A fine album even if it seemed a little
haphazard and the production left a lot to
be desired.But,70's Aerosmith,right up there.

or

The Past Is Gone...

NEW LINKS

It's Aerosmith but not as we know them.
Featuring Rick Dufay and Jimmy Crespo.
Those boys fitted in real good.
Hugely underrated era of the band.
Rock In A Hard Place is probably my favourite
Aerosmith album of the 80's.
Great show here.
It's the last of the tour and
Perry and Whitford would be back for the next album.

The Show

You've Got To Lose To Know How To Win...

NEW LINKS

Nice Aerosmith compilation of acoustic (& electric)
tunes.Something old, something new (at the time)
and something borrowed.
One of the best bands ever as has been discussed,
up to a point.
For me after the PUMP album their
output has been pretty patchy.

or

Getcha Rocks Off!!

NEW LINKS

 Here's a cool one.
Aerosmith working on the Rocks album.
These are the instrumental versions and not
the finished songs.
No vocals and still some changes to be made.
Probably no vocals as Steven wrote the lyrics last?
In excellent quality.
Without doubt my favourite Aerosmith album.

or

Take The Wind Right Out Of Your Sail...

NEW LINKS

The classics just keep on comin' what a decade the 70's were.
A well known boot from the Boston Boys and it's
time it was up here.
Another fine setlist and
good to see Seasons Of Wither in there.
One of my favourites from Get Your Wings.

or

Got To get Back To The Real Nitty Gritty...

NEW LINKS

A fine show from the reformed Aerosmith.
From the Permanent Vacation Tour back in '87.
A very good album.
The boys are on fire and what we get is
an excellent set of songs played like they're
happy to be Rockin' & Rollin'...again.
Back In The Saddle!

or

East Side West Side Blues...

NEW LINKS

Here's the cd that came with the
You Gotta Move DVD.
Recorded during the Honkin' With Bobo era.
Only six songs but it's a goodie.
Especially the extended version of Rats In The Cellar.

or

Back In The Saddle...Again...

NEW LINKS

Classic stuff from Aerosmith on the
Permanent Vacation Tour '88.
Wow what a setlist.
Claiming victory from the jaws of defeat,
the Boys were back.
The next album would be another cracker.
After that...? Patchy at best.

or

Barkeep Gimme A Drink...

NEW LINKS

Rocking setlist on this one from Aerosmith.
It's a KBFH Broadcast so you know it's
going to sound pretty good.
From The Night In The Ruts Tour.
Joe Perry was out of there,Jimmy Crespo was in.
This is still the Real Aerosmith.

or

Same Old Story...

NEW LINKS

Diggin' Into The Archives For This One
From Those Boston Boys,Aerosmith.
And This One Is From Boston 1990.
Nice Selection Of Tunes Here.

The Past Is Gone...

NEW LINKS

The boys from Aerosmith on the
Toys In The Attic Tour.
1975 vintage.
It's a great album but not their best
that would be the next one.
Great show,great sound.
Back In The Saddle!

or

"The Blues Had A Baby"...

NEW LINKS

Joe Perry had left during the recording of
Night In The Ruts.
So this one features Jimmy Crespo on guitar.
From Boston,3rd December 1980.
Still sounds great, from an under appreciated era of the band.
This one Rocks!
