  2. That version of the ancient (& not particularly funny in the 1st place) joke was about the worst i've heard/read. The best version had almost the same basic structure except it was about monks in a monastery being disciplined by an abbot for swimming naked in a nearby lake & in that version Bubbles was a monkey. Not hysterical, but better than the mess posted above.
Back to the topic at hand, thank you for uploading this old favourite.
This comp was released in many different territories with several releases having slightly different selections of bands/tracks included. The version you've posted is the UK pressing, identical to the German release.
The French version omitted the Rose Tattoo songs but included ex-Sweet singer Brian Connolly's song "Hypnotized" & Heartbreak's "The Backstreet Kids" instead.
The Mexican version had Spitfire's "So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star" (Spitfire were Rage/Nutz under a pseudonym) & the same Heartbreak song as on the French LP.
Mexico was the only territory where the compilation was reissued on CD, (a bootleg of course), in 2013. It came with different cover art, under the slightly amended title "Éxitos Originales Vol 2 : Heavy Metal Thunder" & contained the original Mexican LP's song selection.
The official Japanese release was a different variation again, with a different (but similar) sleeve design, but with no additional material beyond what appeared on the other versions.
I must search out those other songs & add them to what you've uploaded as bonus tracks to make a 'definitive international version' of the album.
If you want to pore over the different versions, you can do so here:
