This is an excellent sounding soundboard.

a disappointing album at the time but the
songs sound a lot better live.
Schenker's guitar sounds amazingly clear on this.
Thanks for this! I always dug his first 3 albums (plus the double live), but yeah, he kind of lost a step with his 83-84 releases...trying to get on the commercial bandwagon instead of doing what he did best. But he still always delivered live.
ReplyDeleteYes your definitely right 4 great albums
DeleteThank you for this soundboard nice quality MSG ! A pity it's pure mono but still very enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteHi Derek I've just realised I have another older version of this show
ReplyDeleteMaybe this one is stereo🤣🤣🤣

Thanks UFOSteve. Will try and compare but I'm not experienced enough to make a matrix out of the two and propose a remaster ; that's not in my capabilities. Who knows if someone experienced reading this takes up the challenge.
DeleteSorry but I have to disagree with the negative comments about this album. It is one of my favorites by him and MSG
DeleteHi Hellion thanks for commenting
DeleteWe all here Hear music differently there's no right or wrong answer
Over the years this album has grown on me and it is probably one of his better ones
But when I bought it in 83 I just found it disappointing with the lack of guitar solos
And I still think the song sound better live
Mind you a lot of his songs do
Cheers and Keep on rocking
Too bad he did not explore an entire album with Derek St. Holmes on vocals. I think that could have been really something in terms of popularity in the states. Oh well, coulda, woulda, shoulda. Thanks for the show.
