I can't remember the legalities of why
they went out as H & H.
No doubt something to do with reunion tours
and Ozzy's wife?
Anyway a very good audience recording
here.Let's not forget this band was made
up of serious legends of METAL.

ReplyDeleteSaw them on that tour in Paris in a quite small venue in front of around 1 500 fans. They played Wacken some time later in the summer in front of 70 000. They were iconic. RIP to RJD.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. I believe the reason for touring under the H&H name was because they performed only tracks from the Dio-era albums, by choice. I was blessed to see them in 2008--RJD unabashedly loved what he did and who he did it for. A humble and appreciative player with massive charisma, and the band played like hungry newcomers with everything to prove. Skating on nostalgia was never on the menu for this lot.
