So Many Good People In One Place...

Described as playing raw psychedelic Southern Rock from the deep south of err Holland!!!! I did see them play a support last year and they really impressed. So it was off to a new venue for me to catch them headling AND they played a stunning set, ending with the 26min long Rosita for which guitarist Pablo spent most of the song walking around the audience playing away and not losing a note.Great band great venue and I will definately catch them again next April when they come over....Enjoy,Ed.

I Know You Need Me Too...

SUPPORT SLOT #2.Last year I posted a KEYLOCK gig from '21 with the excellent Aaron Keylock on guitar and I remember thinking these guys will be the next big thing...Well forget that..They have now morphed into Silveroller and I am convinced these guys WILL be the next big thing with their 70's vibe and as expected from Mr Keylock, some stunning guitar work. One to watch out for...Enjoy,Ed.

Ain't No Looking Back...

Radio Broadcast from the late 70's Bad Company.
From the Desolation Angels Tour.
Decent quality, seems like the tape has
been around the block a few times.
Still,it's enjoyable enough.
Vinyl Rip.

The Ex Generation X singer did well for himself.
He packed his bags & headed over the water and
found himself a major star on MTV and
the music charts.
Ably supported by his right hand man
the talented Steve Stevens on guitar.
Anyway here's a fine FM Radio Broadcast
from '84 featuring all the hits as you'd expect.

Could You Ever Really Feel The Same...

The second reunion tour with Michael Schenker continues across
Europe in 1997 and '98.
And despite the obvious tensions in the
band they still put on a good Rock show.
Here are 3 very good audience or DVD audio rips of this.
(Note compressed to 3 discs but the music's all there)

I'm Cutting Out To A Place In The Country...

A soundboard recording of the
Welsh Heavy Rockers in Birmingham 1979.
It was the first live performance with guitarist
John Thomas.
Pretty good lively performance and I'm sure
it was played at ear shattering volume on the night.

And The Thing I Want Out Of Life Is...

Kiss are still Rockin' The Nation,
here they are in Hershey back in '04.
The tour was notable for the Alive! outfits they
wore this time around.Although in my opinion
they didn't look as sleek as they did first time around!
Still they did pull out songs they hadn't played in a while.
So a Kisstastic time was had by all.

Funky Claude Was Running In And Out...

Another Purple post!
Looks like this has been up before
going by the covers!
A decent radio broadcast from
back in 1973 from Lyon,France.
It's the Mark II line up and my favourite
version of the band along with a lot of other people.
My fav album?
In Rock.
Why?
Because it was the first album of theirs
I got into.

I Got A Hip Shaking Woman...

A free 2 disc cd by Mojo magazine in 2012.
Featuring songs by old American Blues players
that according to the magazine
(article below) are said to influence
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page for Led Zeppelin.
And disc 2 is a few songs by well
known bands with the same Blues influences.

New Links

Since My Baby Left Me...

Good audience recording of the Mark III line-ups final tour.
Very good performance by Richie Blackmore on this
good set list with a decent mix of old and
newer songs with of course plenty of improvisation.
Although I never understood why they
kept playing Going Down.

(listing on the back cover doesn't match the
file but the music's all there)

A Met At A Gig One...

Quo live at the legendary Glastonbury UK Festival in 2009.
Maybe not the hard edge of a 70s Quo show
but a very enjoyable live show.
It's an excellent sounding DVD pro shot audio rip
full of well-known tracks,
that definitely gets your feet tapping.

No,I Won't Do What You Tell Me...

Here's a band that brought their
own brand of Metal,Rap & Funk Rock.
Politically active, they had something to say
and they weren't afraid to say it.
Highly charged show from Irvine Meadows 1995.

or

Painted Up Like A Fancy Young Man...

Good audience recording of Slade live in the USA.
Pretty Rocking set list opening for Aerosmith
one of many bands they opened for in
'74 and '75 trying to crack it in America,
which unfortunately they never really did.

I'm Just A Stranger Passing By...

There are some vocalists who could sing you a food menu and it would be amazing and Ms Schorr is one of those...WHAT A VOICE and with an incredible backing band I just  knew tonight would be special. The inbetween song banter was refreshingly honest and her whole perfomance came from the heart AND for once the crowd showed total respect with no chatting amongst themselves. Her version of Black Betty is stunning. Also included is her short acoustic slot last year supporting SWEET with the super talented Jim Kirkpatrick (FM) on guitar.....Enjoy,Ed.

Let It Out...

DIO on their first tour after releasing
the classic Holy Diver album.
That line up and those early albums
were killer.
Of course RJD was easily one of the greatest
Rock vocalists of them all.
Sadly missed.

or

And A Trip To The Moon...

Here's the full Radio Broadcast from the greatest
Southern Rock band of all time.
From Cardiff,Wales 1975.
Timeless.

You Won't Come Back,We're Through...

A good sounding audience recording from the
Under Lock & Key tour of 1986.
Featuring of course the classic pairing of
George Lynch and Don Dokken
Short 9 song festival performance that has a nice raw feel to it.
Surprisingly Dokken albums never sold
here in the UK their next album reached the
heights of 96 in the UK charts and is their only top 100 entry.
