It's the Pink Pop Festival,great sound
and enjoyable performance.
Can't say I'm the biggest prog fan
in the world.
But I do enjoy Fish era Marillion
now and again.

Here's a band that was touted for big things
back in the early 80's.
They had the songs and were a little different
from the other bands at the time.
But...it didn't happen,I'm surprised Time Tells No Lies
was their only album until 1991.
So many bands so much still to learn!

They're Standing In The Dark...
Surprisingly good audience recording here.
It's German Rockers Kingdom Come.
Live from the Hammersmith Odeon,1988.
I thought they were a good Hard Rock band
rather than just the Led Zep rip off they were
accused of.
Watching The Time Tick,Tick Away...
Excellent soundboard from Queensrÿche
back in 1995 on the Promised Land Tour.
Now I've been a fan of this band since the E.P.
I bought The Promised Land cd and didn't like it.
Up until then their output was excellent.
I haven't bought anything of theirs since,
apart from Mindcrime expanded and a couple of live albums.
Anyhoo a fine show here and not too many
tunes from the new album...lol.

You Know You're On The Road Again...
It's only time for some more Rock 'n' Roll from
Scotland's greatest band,Nazareth.
A great show from Flint back in 1981.
Opening with the classic Telegram. A song that
rivals Seger's Turn The Page as a warts an' all
description of life on the road.
They don't make them like this any more.
Hell! even Nazareth aren't like this any more!
Take What You Want But You can't Take Mine...
OK let's get on to the next version of Rainbow.
This time featuring Joe Lynn Turner on vocals,
a great singer.Here we get a more commercial
band.Looking for those hits and trying to
appeal to the America market even more.
Difficult to Cure is a great album and a
special one for me as I bought it when it was released.
(Still Love It!).

Back to the early 80's and the chaos that
was Twisted Sister at the Marquee.
So we have three shows.
Two recorded by EDDIE and one unknown.
We couldn't all rock up to the Marquee
when ever we wanted.So to hear them years
later was pretty cool.
Good listen.

And I Ain't Coming Back...
Stumbled across the site for Billy Rankin (ex Nazareth) when I
was looking for something else the other day.
Turns out he's got a ton of stuff on his website
he's happy to share.
Whether it's for personal use or uploading.
So expect a few Nazareth uploads in the coming weeks!
He's got his history for everybody to read.
What I've read so far is very good.Told in a
conversational style,it's also very funny.
It also shows you the inner workings of a major Rock Band.
All I will say is we know you have to watch out for
managers,promoters & record companies ripping
musicians off.
You also have to watch out for your bandmates!!

In The Dark The Vultures Wait...
Three shows from Rainbow's Down To Earth Tour.
We all know the couple of hits from the album.
A cracking album by the way.
There was so much good stuff on it,Eyes Of The World,
Lost In Hollywood etc.
Bonnet never really got much of a chance he only
made the one album.
Of course this Rainbow couldn't have been more
different than the Dio fronted version.
It would've been interesting to hear what a second album
with Bonnet would've sounded like.

Here It Comes...
Twisted Sister Donington 1983.
Very exciting times when TS released those
first couple of albums.
A club or a festival setting they seemed to be the same.
Pummeling the audience.
Unfortunately the production on their albums
mostly left a lot to be desired.
Apart from that,Rockin' good times.

Here they are back in 1983 playing a pub in Watford,England.
But obviously imagining it's Madison Square Garden
or some other large impressive venue.

The Winds Of Thor Are Blowing Cold...
Excellent sound on this from the Rock Gods that are
Led Zeppelin.
Seemingly a bit hit and miss live,at times.
They would appear to be on for this one,

This time they're out there in Australia on
the Brothers In Arms Tour.
Going by the title it's the final show.
Great sound and performance once again.
If you're a big Dire Straits fan it would seem
you're we catered for bootleg wise.
