And I Want And I Need...

As well as still going through Eddie's 80's
recordings. He's back in the game with new captures.
This is an unknown band to me.
Even though they have so far released seven albums!
Vega from London last month.
Melodic Rock.
They finish with a cover of the Def Leppard
classic - Animal.

I'm In Overdrive And I Feel Alive...

Two very good soundboard shows from
the Michael Schenker Group.
On their first American Tour in 1980.
With arguably their most classic line up
featuring the best tracks from the excellent debut album.
At Eerie,Pennsylvania (Tracks not split 38minutes)
and Los Angeles.

I'm A Gambling Man,Son Of A Gun...

UFO from 1992 and only Phil Mogg
& Pete Way from the classic line up
in the band.
But it doesn't matter they sound great here.
Laurence Archer is on guitar and he does a fine job.
Of course it helps that the setlist
is loaded with classics.

Put Your Ray Gun To My Head...

 More Ziggy era Bowie.
A very enjoyable audience recording from Japan.
One thing I never tire of is
Ronno's Moonage Daydream solo.
Classic!!

They're Gonna Break Their Chains...

German Metallers Accept from London '85.
Very good audience recording.
In their prime playing traditional Metal.
Still releasing albums and touring.
But with a much changed line up
over the years.

I Wanna Tell You A Secret...

Another excellent soundboard.
Dire Straits and The Brothers In Arms Tour.
From San Antonio,Texas.
Just chill and enjoy.

 CD1

CD2

The Band Appear Before You...

More from the coulda shoulda made it big section
with Heavy Pettin.
Back to 1983 and supporting KISS in October,
out with OZZY in November.
So they were getting excellent exposure live and
playing their album in front of new fans.
It's all consigned to Rock history now.
Who should be in Newcastle pressing
play and record?
Only EDDIE!

Don't Turn That Dial...

And we're back...with another of EDDIE'S Recordings.
Quality Melodic Rock from FM.
Here they are supporting Bon Jovi back in 1986.
Sounding like a fair few of the crowd went
to cheer on FM as well.
If you like the slicker sounding Rock 'n' Roll,
played and sung well.
You should enjoy this.

And The Night Grows Pale...

Excellent show from one of my favourite bands,Queen.
This is the Day At The Races Tour.
Playing Earls Court on the 6th and 7th of June.
These were the last shows of the Tour.
Love them or hate them they were one of a kind.
Extremely talented.

Lovers At First Sight,In Love Forever...

The Strangers In The Night Tour opens
in January 1979 in the UK.
Just as the album is released
Paul Chapman is fully in the band.
And doing a fine job with his trusty gibson guitar,
with Electric Phase added to the setlist.

Not sure of the date of this show
it's listed as 13th February on the file.
But I can't find Exeter listed anywhere
for this tour.
Good sounding audience recording.

Part 1

Part 2

Bust My Britches,Bless My Soul...

Here's the Chili Peppers from way back in '91.
Touring the Blood Sugar album, the one that
put them into the premier league.
And they've been there ever since.
It's a classic album and one imo they haven't bettered since.

'Cause Boogie Nights Are Always The Best In Town...

Here's one we got from Thunderbyrd
on another earlier version of HRC.
Blues Boogie from Michael Katon
playing I would guess a pretty small venue.
It's enjoyable and sounds like a great night.

Over The Mountains And The Seas...

There's lighting coming from his fingers
as he speeds across the fretboard!
Yeah it's Gary from '87.
And a cool little Radio Broadcast.
He stretches a few of the songs here and
shows us his full range of playing.

or

Year After Year Out On The Road...

We're back into Eddie's Trade Bag!
And we've pulled out two nights from the
Scorpions in Newcastle '84.
Must be the start of the Sting Tour even though the
album didn't come out until March.
The Scorps could do no wrong
during this period.
The sound at the start of these is a little poor.
But it soon clears up to leave two
enjoyable shows.

Night One

Night Two

They Are The Victims Of The Night...

 Perennial Melodic Rockers,Magnum.
They've been releasing quality albums since the 70's.
Here they are in 1990 probably at the height
of their popularity.
Still touring and releasing albums.
A couple of drop outs here and there from this
radio broadcast.

Maybe I'll See You Next Time...

OK back with another cool vinyl compilation.
A joint venture between Sounds music paper
and CBS Records.
One of those collect vouchers from
the music mag and get yourself an album.
Cool sounds featuring some heavy hitters.
From 1979.

It Tolls For Thee...

 Pretty enjoyable audience recording.
Metallica at the Hammersmith Odeon '88.
On their way to becoming one of the biggest of bands.
Can't say I'm much of a thrash fan.
Of course my favourite Metallica album is The Black Album.
That's got some tunes on it.

Build It Up...

Here's my recording of Rival Sons
from nearly eight years ago.
Great band who're plugged in to that
classic 70's vibe.

Dream We're Going Out On Stage...

An Excellent FM Radio Broadcast.
The Scorpions with Michael Schenker
on the Coming Home To Germany Tour.
In October 1993 just before Michael
rejoins UFO on the reunion tour
of Germany in December.
Good setlist and performance by the band.

And I'm Thinking Of Days Gone By...

Another Instant Live show from
the Rock The Nation Tour.
Good sound and an enjoyable gig.
A rare run out for Love Her All I Can.

Blues And Twos...

Can't say I'm much of a Police fan.
Of course I know all hits they were
pretty big back then.
As for their albums, never listened to one!.
Here they are from Boston 1979.
A Radio Broadcast.
So if you like that New Wave,Reggae,Punk & Rock
all mixed up.
Enjoy.
