You Won't Come Back,We're Through...

A good sounding audience recording from the
Under Lock & Key tour of 1986.
Featuring of course the classic pairing of
George Lynch and Don Dokken
Short 9 song festival performance that has a nice raw feel to it.
Surprisingly Dokken albums never sold
here in the UK their next album reached the
heights of 96 in the UK charts and is their only top 100 entry.

Hope Within My Soul...

An excellent very clear recording of MSG on their
30th anniversary tour of Japan 2010.
Recorded the day before the official recording with
the best lineup of MSG since the classic early 80s.
And possibly the reason why Schenker sounds so rejuvenated.
An excellent all round performance.

As She Reaches For His Photograph...

What else is there to say about these guys,I've been going to their gigs for 40 years now and hand on heart I have not seen them have an off night and as I get older and wiser (yea right) and can appreciate the music more, they just seem to get better with each album and tour. The highlight for me tonight was watching a band just have FUN on stage, the way they laugh and joke with each other after all these years is a total joy to watch. Here's to the next 40 years...enjoy,Ed.

That's Why Only Fools And Horses Work...

I HAD TO GO...When I started getting back to gigs three years ago after a long break I said to myself I will keep to the small venues so I can actually see the bands and appreciate the music more and avoid the bigger emotionless sheds where everything is aimed at ripping off the punter.BUT then comes along a gig like tonight with three of the best bands in British Metal/Rock history on the same bill.Well I JUST HAD TO GO and it helped having a 3rd row seat. What a gig!!! for a wonderful 4 hours i was transported back to the 80's when I first seen these bands with my long hair and patched up denim jacket (both long gone). Will share Priest with you first with Saxon & Heep to follow.Uncle Albert (British in joke) and the guys were on fire tonight. With the perfect setlist of old and new....enjoy,Ed.

Ain't Gonna Burn Up No More Flame...

Procol Harum Featuring Robin Trower on guitar and
bass on his last tour with the band.
Recorded on the Broken Barricades album, tour and is probably
their most well-known bootleg recording.
A great sounding FM radio broadcast from
New York 1971.
Playing their style of Prog Rock, Art Rock ,Blues Rock ,
Psychedelic Rock etc etc.

Kids Dance Away Like Shadows...

This is a rip of my old  bootleg CD I bought way back in
1995 of the original BBC radio broadcast from the
Hammersmith Odeon in 1982.
Not the full show but 10 energetic tracks of UFO at their best.
 With Paul Chapman.

You Keep On Shoutin'...

Pretty good soundboard from the classic
Dressed To Kill-Alive! era.
Energetic performance from the guys
as they know now, things are on the up.
There's a vocal effect on 100,000 years which
is a little trippy.I'm glad they did away with it
for the record.

Where Did I Wander...

Ozzy at the famous Hammersmith Odeon
in London on his first solo tour.
With that early classic line up
(well, before the rhythm section got booted).
Those first two albums with Randy...timeless.
Pretty good audience recording here.

Year After Year Out On The Road...

Back with more Scorpions, what a band!
Here's an excellent audience recording
from back in '03.
Look at that setlist it's
jam packed with Rockin' goodness!

I'm Gonna Fly Like An Eagle...

This one really takes me back in time.
Some excellent BBC soundboard recordingss of
Stray a British Blues Rock band in 1973 and 1974.
A band tipped by the weekly music papers ( Sounds,Melody Maker, etc )
at the time to be on the verge of bigger things.
Unfortunately as with many of these early 70s bands
a series of circumstances and bad management
prevented it from happening.
I saw Stray live four times during this period
and they were a really great live band.
Stray led by guitarist Del Bromham
continue to perform and record  new music to this day.

A big thanks once again to Steve for sending in the shows.

Baby,You've Got What It Takes...

An excellent sounding DVD rip of
Paul Rodgers on the excellent Now
album tour from Germany 1996.
Featuring six tracks from the album
and of course tracks from the 70s.
A really fine show and performance.

I Got The Operator On The Line...

Next up a show Eddie got in a trade.
Live from Germany back in '84.
Supporting BOC perhaps?
Anyway quality Hard Rock from a very
talented Canadian,who burst onto
the scene back in the early 80's with
another very fine debut.
Just seen on YouTube that he's back out there
playing shows.

And We Would Scream Together Songs Unsung...

We're taking a dip back into "Eddie's Archives".
First up a recording he did back in 1982
and one of the most successful bands of the 80's.
ASIA.
Prog Rockers Turn Melodic and get huge success.
That debut album is,killer!

There's A Firework Show Tonight...

Very good sounding audience recording of
Magnum as special guest of Saxon in 2018.
A good set list of more recent
Magnum songs from the 2000s
and of course a few classic older tunes.
An excellent concert.

Your Life's Been Set,Prearranged...

Good audience recording from Birmingham 1983,
lively  performance and a great setlist
as the band heads around the UK for the final time
or so we believed at the time.

(This show I believe was one of the shows
officially recorded for the Headstone album BUT so far never released)

Your Time Will Come...

 From the Netherlands,Waldrock Festival
back in 2003 it's the Metal legends Iron Maiden.
I looked up some info on this and it seems the first track
is from another show to make it complete.
And it does sound as if it's from another source.
The rest is great sound and a great performance.
Notable for playing Wildest Dreams from Dance Of Death
before it was released a few monthe later.
Metal Rules,Up the Irons!!
Vinyl Rip.

The Gods Look Down In Anger...

A soundboard recording of a live show from Edinburgh,
February 1975 on the excellent For Earth Below album tour.
Then two discs of rehearsals from the Old Vic Church,London in
September 1974 for the '75 tour.
The rehearsals are mainly long jam instrumentals
with some really great guitar solos.

In a recent interview by drummer Bill Lorden he mentioned some recordings from the Old Vic maybe used for next year's
50th anniversary release of the For Earth Below album.
