I was in the 4th row in Pittsburgh for their stop on the Bad Reputation tour and was so bummed out that Soldier of Fortune was left off the original LPs. It was such a great opening number that night so I'm glad to see a few versions on this box set. Better late than never!
Unfortunately, that was my only time. I had tickets for the Johnny the Fox tour, but that tour got canceled rather quickly, and after the Bad Reputation tour, they never visited Pittsburgh again, at least not that I am aware. After that show, I was on a Thin Lizzy high for the rest of high school. I thought for sure when Black Rose was released, they were going to become huge. I still can’t understand that they didn’t. Derek and Simonthecat, you guys are lucky, I just pre-ordered my copy on Amazon and my anticipation is like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.
Same for me, Simonthecat, my birthday is 29th of January and my love lady has hidden the treasure somewhere in the house up to that day. This is a mostly sadistic treatment... but will be joyful when lovely offered. Can't wait !
Was at one of the Tower shows, can't remember which night. I had been playing guitar for about a year, year and a half at that point, I've never put it down. They tore the house down!
My wife is supposed to get this for me for my birthday - can't wait!
