No Matter What YOU DO...

Big Time Thanks to MisterManiac!!!

For Sendin' Some Badfinger Bootlegs
To Us Here At The Barn...

IF You Looked Up "Power Pop" in the
Dictionary
(Kinda Like an Old-School WIKI...)
You Would See Their Picture...

Badfinger Were on Apple Records, SO,
They Were Kinda in the Shadow of the Beatles
For Awhile Anyways...

And As I Listened To THIS:
I Thought This Is Probably What the Beatles
Woulda Sounded Like,
Had They Continued Tourin'...

This IS Badfinger Live in New York 1971...

That's ALL The Info I Got...
(And That's Fine...It's 'Bout the Music!)
((And, The Music's FINE!))

Out of the Ones He Sent,
I Chose This One to Post First...

I Thought It Needed a Little Work...
(The Others Are Even Better...)
((I Jazzed Up the Artwork as well...))

And, I'm a Sucker For a Stray...

The Best Dog In The Whole World IS
Right Outside Lyin' in the Grass in the Sun...
But Someone Left Him, Way Out Here...
They Didn't Want Him 12 Years Ago...
As Mrs. Rocket Says, "It's Their Loss!"

Like My Dog, This Bootleg Turned Out Good!
(Ain't Braggin' - Just Is Way It Is!)

From The First Note of My Dark Hour to
The Last Note of No Matter What,
This Is a Raw, Rawkin' Concert Full of
Excellent Music!

NOTE:
Wow! Thanks to ALL Of YOU for Comments and INFO...
Bootlegs Are Notoriously Wrong with Dates and
And Song Order and Even Locations...
I Did a Quick Search (Usin' The INFO Brett Gave) and
Found Not One But Two Other Versions of THIS Bootleg...
That Are Both Different From Each Other AND This One...

And From Guitars 101...

  1. I have this show as being from Ungano's in New York, November 15, 1970. Ungano's was a club on West 70th Street which mostly presented jazz acts.

Pretty great show. "My Dark Hour' is a cover of a Steve Miller song which he made with some help from Paul McCartney. Anyone who is familiar with Miller's later radio hits will recognize the main riff....

  2. Thanks Rocket. Tragic history of this fine fine band (Pete and Tom wrote ‘Without You' FFS!) and new interest lately in their story so this is appreciated.

  5. Hey Rocket: Thanks for the props! Always happy to give back to the Musicverse, as it's given me so many great sounds over the years. After you get through the first batch, have plenty more Badfinger if it proves to be a hit. Also luvin' the new artwork...not often I get to see my name on a CD cover...lol.

  6. Just to say thanks for the additions too. Thanks Rocket and the other link to ‘Albums That Should Exist’ is welcome in that I had missed them. So will add them to my list! The Unganos set from ’70 is appreciated and just downloaded fine here. Thanks guys!
