Talkin' 'Bout My Babe...Not Your Babe...

Bootlegs Are Notorious For Bein' Wrong!

Like This One...
Says The Rolling Stones, Live in Memphis, TN
1978, The Complete Show!

But, It's NOT!

The Songs On The Back Cover Are Correct!

But, They're NOT ALL From Memphis...

Actually, I Think ONLY 2 Are!?!

The INFO File Included Says:
Tracks 1, 4, 5, 10-13: 1978-07-06: Masonic Temple Auditorium, Detroit, MI
Tracks 2, 3, 8, 9, 14, 15: 1978-07-19: Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston, TX
Tracks 6, 7: 1978-06-28: Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, TN

Also, I Found Other Artwork That May Be Better...

So, It's a Sorta Greatest Hits of the

Some Girls Tour from 1978...

Great Sound Quality and Performance!

And, I Like They Play Hound Dog in Memphis!

She's So Fine!

  2. This is when Ronnie and Keith started to really gel with the ancient art of weaving. When the Whip Comes Down is the best version on this compilation. The version of that song that was played in Detroit has never sounded better or been played at that tempo. Feels like it could breakdown at any moment and Charlie keeps it together. A great compilation of the Stones during their punk Some Girls phase. The East River Truckers won't be taking this one to the trash.

  3. When I listen to Ya Ya's and Mick says "Charlie's good tonight ain't he?" I can't imagine a night or session where Charlie wasn't good. Like you said, Charlie always kept it together. He changed his style for every phase of the Stones. Reggae during Black and Blue; punk during Some Girls. Fast drumming on Rip This Joint and emotional soulful drumming on their ballads. Always on time. Charlie's solo jazz albums are good. The man could swing and he is missed.

Amazing When It's Put That Way...
Charlie Played So Many Different Styles, And, Yet, Never Once Over-Played!
He Always Seemed To Play Exactly What The Song Needed!
