I Think Everyone Involved Knew From The Beginnin'
That Billy Was "The Man" - The Star of The Show!
They All Played Their Part Great, Though...
And, Piper Made Two Great Rock & Roll Records!
'Cause The Other Musicians Were Really Good as well!
One Song From This Album Was Re-Recorded
for Billy's 1st Solo Album (The Tale Of The Tape) -
Who's Your Boyfriend?...
NOTE: I Uploaded These Two Albums Separately (In Case You Already Have One Of Them and Need The Other) OR (IF You Want to Put BOTH Together! - There's a 2 For 1 CD Set of Artwork Below!)
Notice The Back Cover: ONLY 1 Person Is Pictured!?!
It's Another Great Straight On Rock & Roll Record!
Notice the Back Cover of the Album:
That's Billy Squier Movin' on to Bigger and Better Things!
Both Piper Albums were Re-Issued on a 2 For 1 CD a Few Years Back, But Has Since Gone Out of Print...
Thanks, Rocket. I saw Ringo & Has All-Star Band about 10 years ago and Billy was the guitarist. Really under appreciated.
ReplyDeleteYep. I Agree...
DeleteSaw Squier Back in '83 and He could Rip It Up!
thanks for Piper guys.
ReplyDeleteYou're Welcome, Charles...
DeleteBought the first album on the strength of a pretty solid review in CREEM (ah, those were the days...) - has held up pretty darn well over the years.
ReplyDeleteYep. Creem was Great! Circus was Another I Read...
DeleteHadn't heard these and they're amazing; Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteWell, Alright! jd
DeleteThat Right There's One of The Purposes of This Blog!
I saw Piper open for KISS in late 1977. I remember them being a quality show. Could you please repost these download links? I missed them and want to check out their studio albums. Thanks so much, G.
ReplyDeleteYep. You Need To Hear These!
DeleteThanks for reposting, I got them. Will check it out this weekend. And workupload is a good download system. Much better than most, like filefactory!! That one really sucks. Thanks again, G.
ReplyDeleteGlad You Got 'Em...Enjoy!
DeleteThanks for posting the link to this double disc; could you re-up for those of us who missed the last one ? Cheers!
DeleteThat's a Rocket link hopefully when he's back.
Delete@smoker Excellent - thanks!
DeleteDoes anyone have the Piper K.B.F.H. show from 1977? I recorded both The Babys & Piper live from the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, Pa on the King Biscuit Flower Hour. I didn't know ahead of time they were going to be on & didn't have a blank cassette to record them on. I did have a blank 8-track tape. Unfortunately, the tape got eaten up in my player & I have not been able to find that Piper show. The Babys portion of the show has turned up but not the Piper segment.
