no me neither but yes apparently it's a genre and while
queuing to get in I was thanked by an elf (with plastic pointy ears)
for joining and helping to overcome the forces of evil...ok...
during the gig itself BLACKWALD the keyboard player
repeatedly asked us to summon balls of fire which would
help destroy the orcs & goblins which were amassing
and then singer ALLYON threw the Sapphire Dragon
(a blow up plastic dragon) into the baying crowd
which we obviously had to kill and by the end of the
gig we were assured that good had overcome
evil and the world was in a better place...
I kid you not... OK all that nonsense aside this
was such a good gig musically the quality was
amazing and in elf LYND the lead guitarist for
speed and dexterity is the best I've ever
seen and heard and would wipe the floor with Malmsteen...
so there you go thanks to myself and
300 hundred others we saved the world
and that does not happen often on a
Thursday night in Camden...Enjoy,Ed.

Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy a lot of the European power metal that's been flourishing since the mid-90's...sort of the evolution of where 80's era Maiden & Yngwie (and later, Helloween) were headed with heaviness, speed and melody all rolled into one. Now get out your 20-sided dice and cast those fireball spells against false metal.
