Times Have Changed in the Past, But We Won't Forget...

King Kobra Was a Band I Missed Back in the 80's...

I Do Remember Seein' the Album
With the Roller Coaster on the Front...

Drummer Carmine Appice Is the Only
Member of the Band I Know...

He's Been Playin' Drums Forever!

Suppose He Started with Vanilla Fudge...

There Was Cactus and B, B and A
(And Other Variations)...
'Course Most Famous for Rod Stewart
I Guess...

This Is a Good WLLZ FM Radio Broadcast...

And, It's a Good Old Fashioned Rock & Roll Show TOO!

Can't Tell Who's Havin' More FUN:
The Fans OR The Band!

Great Songs AND Solos Galore...

Oh, And Rock And Roll IS NOT Zep's...

It Should Have: (Part 2) After It...

'Cause It's a Cover of Gary Glitter's Song...

Played At Most Sportin' Events Everywhere...

I Bet Most Of the Folks Have No Idea
Who OR What It Is, 'Cept They Can Shout
At Certain Parts Throughout the Song!

Anyway, It's Live from Harpo's in
Detroit (Rock City!) from 1985...

Did I Mention It Was a FUN Rockin' Concert?

It Is!

Enjoy and Play It LOUD!

  1. Actually have this show already (probably from you...lol), but besides Carmine, the band also featured Johnny Rod on bass, who went on to play with WASP from 86-89, and appears on the Electric Circus, Live in the Raw and classic Headless Children releases. The band also has some notoriety because the singer, Mark Free, became a woman and now goes by Marcie Free (and sings for Unruly Child).

  3. Been listening to this concert twice today. High speed glam rock ! Not far from WASP rock style indeed. Didn't notice the relation between the two bands but yes, they play in the same musical range, except for Carmine who blows your balls off with his drum technique, if I may say so.

    1. Once again you have picked one of Rocket's posts.
Rocket hasn't been around for a while that's why (some of) his links are dead.
I don't have a copy of that show.
