Just to get it out of the way,I'm a big fan of Hysteria.
I know it's not the heaviest of albums.
But it does show what can be achieved when
all that time can be spent on an album.
Here's Leppard playing a home town show at the
beginning of the Hysteria Tour.
Great stuff it is too.
With a mighty fine setlist.
Def Leppard the most successful band of the 80's.
(sales wise?)
They've just released a new album to positive reviews.
It seems crazy to me that people complain about Def Leppard not being Metal enough, when they never tried to be anything but a hard edged glam band, influenced by Mott the Hoople and others that the 80s Hair Metal bands probably never even heard of.
ReplyDeleteHave always loved this recording. I don't believe it is a soundboard. Mine is a first generation copy of a recording made by an old trading friend from Paris, named Damian Guasp. He was quite an active trader back then...and he travelled the world recording shows. Some of his recordings are extremely high quality and have been mistaken as soundboards.
