DeleteI was at reading rock festival when y and t came over to britain for the first time,they were great they won many fans that day and they became very well liked in this country I saw them live about 4 times over the years,only dave meniketti is alive from original line up and he not well at the moment,they have a british tour pencilled in for october 2022 hopefully he will be well enough to come over by then.
ReplyDeleteNeed to thank you for this too. Being I grew up in the Bay Area. Northern Cali. A Very Small Town called PETALUMA. doubt if anyone of the Brothers & Sisters hear even heard of this little town in wine country. But I believe that i have seen these guys at our local fair small venue bars and clubs locally dozens of times. They even have a double disc album out not sure if its a boot or mainstream album ? but check it out its Called A Night at The Mystic. Recorded in a Bar I use to go to every weekend as young man. it was shocking to see that they did this recording in a place i remember so well. Other groups that have boots at same Bar i've seen are Van Morrison & The Marshall Tucker Band. check them out if you like that small venue sound with noisy crowds but still very good sound on those i found.

ReplyDeleteDave has a winery with a studio in wine country thats why i figure you may have seen him around. Y & T played at Uptown Theatre, Napa, July 15th
He has played the mystic more than a few times along with many clubs and bars and fairgrounds all through Cali. First time I saw him was at a fairground in Mendocino county. With Legs Diamond supporting them. I cant find a set list or anything that says it but no matter I know I was there. They are scheduled to hit the mystic for the usual shows in November. Its like a launch pad whenever they go touring. Rock on fellas

DeleteThis was without doubt the hottest gig I ever went to and I never knew there was a partial recording out there. Great stuff .Shame they missed 'I believe in you' as I am sure I witnessed grown men cry when they played it...Happy days..ed
