NOTE: There's Nothing to Download HERE!
This IS Just an Observation 'Bout Music...
THIS was Released in Early January 1980,
Here in the States...
The First Single was Back On My Feet Again...
In Case You've Forgotten:
NOW, Listen to This Song Recorded by SWEET,
Also in 1980,
But Went Unreleased Until a Few Years Ago...
It Was a Song Called Yesterday's Hero...
BUT, They Didn't Write It, AND
Weren't The 1st to Record It...
Paul Nicholas Recorded It a Year Earlier...
And Released it in December 1979...
Yeah, These 3 Are All The Same Song...
Well, The Same Music...
Back On My Feet Uses The Music
With John Waite's Lyrics!
AND, One More Thing:
These Are NOT to be Confused with
the 1976 Song Called
Yesterday's Hero by The Bay City Rollers
(Scotland's Greatest Pop Band!?!)

Love this. We call it 'Spot The Similarity'. Do Stone Temple Pilots 'Interstate Love Song' and Jim Croce 'I Got A Name',,,
ReplyDeleteHighly appreciated. I knew both songs and never found out the correspondance. Never heard of Paul Nicholas... We keep on learning every day thanks to HRC !
ReplyDeleteSteve Priest didn't like the lyrics so it was never released. I guess John Waite thought that too and wrote new lyrics and it became a smash hit
