What'll We Tell 'em Boys...

Alright Eddie's back at the Barn door delivering
another bunch of shows,Let's Go!

3rd October 1981,Marquee Club,STILL my all time favourite
gig.So 40 years on do they still have it?
Absofuckinlutely...what a great night.
It's gigs like these that make you forget all the shite
and put a massive smile on your face.
Of course they don't play as fast as back in the day
but just hearing that slide guitar dominate the
show was such a joy.
And Angry is of course still Angry.
They could of played Suddenly and it
wouldn't have bothered anyone
(an in joke for us sad fans Ha Ha)
I left auto level off my recorder so it's a bit top heavy.
DOH!

Hi Eddie,
whilst your 'Ed Master Recording' of this show was a good listen, the venue's acoustics had made the sound rather bass-heavy & 'boomy' & i thought it could be improved.
So the version below has been freshly EQ-ed by yours truly for 'maximum grunt'. I don't claim to be an expert at this type of thing, but to me it sounds much better, with a brighter overall sound & more bite to the guitars.
To avoid confusion with your original i also made completely new artwork so that the differing versions can be easily told apart, but i made sure to credit you in the artwork as the original source. Hope you don't mind my tinkering with your original recording, i'd be interested to hear what you think of the results. If you want to share this version here, please feel free. Great music deserves to be heard.
Best wishes,
riptorn

  3. Thanks so much for this one. The Tatts are still one of the greatest live bands to tread the boards. I've been lucky enough to see them play 3 times over the years & they've been incredible every time. It's just impossible to keep the smile off your face or stay still whilst they're doing their thing. The intensity & fire of their youthful days remains undimmed, unlike so many 'heritage' bands currently out there going through the motions and robbing audiences. A real deal untamed rock 'n' roll band, the last of a dying breed. Tatts Forever, Forever Tatts!
