A scandal that they never got the success they deserved.
They had the songs,the look and in Michael Lee Smith
one of the best Rock singers ever.
All we have are four studio albums,various compilations,
live albums and bootlegs scattered throughout the years.
There's been talk of them doing a new studio album
over the past few years.
If it happens I'm there.

Yup I like these guys too, although got nothing by them. Back in the day, my mate would rave - and constantly play them - but never did get anything by them, so looking forward to this one. Cheers DD

ReplyDeleteVery frustrating - these guys should have been HUGE but no such luck. Sometimes it seems like a lot of the bands that we mutually love here were simply too good to be appreciated on a widespread basis.
ReplyDeleteHello,thank you for starz,great band,I have a question,does anyone have the do it with the lights on demo cd,its half starz demo and half starz/Richie ranno stuff,Also the starz jam cd,very difficult to get,also hellcats e p s after the hellcats 2 cd,which were never officially released,all very rare,all starz fans would love these songs,Good hunting.
ReplyDeleteI have the 'Do it with the lights on', Ranno and the Hellcats cd's. I also have about 8 to 10 live soundboard show of Starz from the 70's that have not been liberated a friend gave me. Digitised and committed to CD, they are fantastic. I also have a number of soundboard Angel show I was also given and are just amazing.
