This One's from 1983 - The Year of Twilight Zone! (The song was released in Late '82 and spent about 6 months in the U.S. Charts before peaking at #10!)
You Can Tell Sometimes When a Band was Popular or had a Hit, By the Amount of Concert Recordings for a Particular Year or Couple Years! Then there might be a Big Gap (In Years) between Shows!
Golden Earring for Instance: There's Several Shows on and around 1974 (Radar Love) and Around the Time of This King Biscuit Show, But Other Years are Much Harder to Come By!
What I Like About This Concert is that Vanilla Queen was performed, which is a long song that has Three Distinct Sections or Parts to It! A song in Three Movements: There's a Beginning, Middle and End to It...
Also, The Earrings play The Devil Made Me Do It which is a Quite Funny, Tongue In Cheek, Kinda Song that takes place in a Courtroom!?! "You Honor, I Am Innocent!"
And They Close with Heartbeat, a Song They Probably Didn't Play Live Very Often! (Even Though, This IS NOT the Actual Order These Songs were Played in Concert!?!)
It's a Short Concert, just about 50 minutes, But the First Three Songs Clock In at Over 10 minutes Each! There's Guitar, Bass and Drum Solos durin' these Songs as well!
The Reason Is That ONLY These Songs were Broadcast by KBFH (With Commercials It Makes a Nice & Neat Hour Show) Even though Golden Earring Played More Songs at The Actual Concert This FM Recording Comes From!
One of my favourites too... Or, well, all Golden Earring high quality concerts are among my favourites. I'm just listening right now to the 1984 back home live in Leiden concert ripped from the official VHS video. Also excellent.
ReplyDeleteA mostly enjoyable historical band from up north of Belgium.
Ah, Yeah, That's a Good One Derek!
DeleteI Gots Some More Earring Yet to Post, So Hang In There!
You had me at 'Vanilla Queen'. A long time favorite. Awesome. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou're Welcome, Drums!
DeleteVanilla Queen is a Masterpiece of Music!
And, also, a Favorite of Mine, as well!
